April 9th is my day! I am beyond excited!

I have been floating on air all day. The coordinator called last week to say my insurance approval was in and that she sent my packet to the surgeons office. The surgeons office called yesterday to make my appointment and I was able to get in this morning. They called this afternoon with my April 9th date!!! Woooooo hooooo!

lol KMLG! That's how I felt too. I wasn't worried, I just couldn't turn my brain off last night. I'm not hungry and I'm not thirsty.., my body is ready for this too! I look forward to everyone's check ins later.

All the April 9 people ready for tomorrow??? I'm excited and nervous and overwhelmed. And starving hungry! 5 days of the liquid diet is enough. I really feel for the people they have on liquids for 2 weeks. By this time tomorrow, I should be getting settled into my room post op. And then the real work begins! Best of luck to anyone taking the plunge tomorrow. :)

I am ready for my surgery today. Got a great night sleep (worked all day cleaning and running errands that I was exhausted!) good luck today!!

I'm ready.....

I'm ready.....

I wish you speedy recovery. See you on the skinny side! Love the pic. Makes me remember my day 8 months ago. Congrates.

Im checking in at the hospital!!!!

Good luck early birds... I won't be until afternoon!

I check in at noon, Pacific time. I'm starting to get super anxious. Seeing the kids off to school was kind of a bummer.

Checked in and waiting with my family for now. Next step is down to holding and then the OR. Trying to not get too nervous. Any of the earlier people out and up yet?

Hi all, I had my surgery yesterday on April 9 too. I am in Australia so although the same date, i am a day ahead.

I can't believe how good I feel. I finally have had some broth tonight after having only Water for the last 48hrs. Who knew salty warm water would taste so good!

All the best to you all - am going to sleep again now as my pain meds are kicking in. To better, healthier and thinner us!!

April 9 and todayim headed home

Well, surgery went well according to my

Doctor. Waking up in PACU was painful and somewhat scary. Medications helped greatly. I was up and walking within about 3 hours of the end up surgery. Helped greatly with the air causing chest pain like symptoms. Didn't sleep except for in hour increments and was up every couple hours to use the bathroom and do some walking.

Home now waiting for prescriptions for lortab elixir and zofran to be filled so I can send the hubby back out for them.

I managed to drink an entire Protein shake and have a couple bites of broth, Jello, some Water, and some crystal light. I never really felt full and was surprised to not get full from what I considered a decent amount of volume. Has anyone else experienced this? It's almost like I still have my whole stomach in there! I only believe it's gone because I saw it myself during the barium swallow study. Just doesn't seem different yet.

How is everyone else getting along?
