February Sleevers.... Check in!

I was sleeved on Feb. 3rd and was just wondering how everyone else was doing?

How far out are you?

What food stage are you in?

How are you tolerating food and liquids?

Any complaints?

Have you been able to start exercise?

Any NSV yet?

How are family and friends reacting to the new you?

I'm just curious and really hope everyone is doing well!

I hate my phone autumn correct

Your not alone. I haven't lost any weight in 6 weeks. And my hunger is forming back :(. And now that my husband (a school teacher) is off for the next two months it is going yo be very hard.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement. I really needed to hear that! Its so nice having other people to talk to who understand what your going through. I am going to try to hang in there. I want this so bad....I just really want to get under 200lbs. It's just going to be more work now that I am back to eating regular food. Maybe I will try and drink more protein, like you said and see if that helps? But I really really appreciate your words of encouragement - If any of you have any tips that will help, please let me know! god bless!

Hey guys! Just wanted to share that I have been stuck at 200.2 since May 28. In all actuality my scale has gone up & down since 5/28 --up to 204 but not below 200.2. I know I didn't really gain 4 lbs in 3 days!!!! Dropping into the 100s was so important to me & it seemed just out of reach. It has worried me & I've complained & pouted & complained some more! Then this AM I weighed & guess what? ONEDERLAND!!!!! 198.2. I even showed my husband!! He hasn't seen my weight in 20 years!! What did I do different? Nothing! I just continued to work my plan. I keep carbs below 30 almost always. I had been diagnosed with diabetes, so I'm a bit more careful than some people. It's been 17 weeks since surgery. I have had no medication for DM since the day before surgery. My hemoglobin A1c is 5.1 (which is wonderful!) I take 1/2 of a blood pressure pill (previously I took 4!) & my liver enzymes are normal . Thank you Jesus!!

I saw my PCP today & she hugged me & was thrilled. She showed me my picture on my file on her computer & said we would need to take a new one. I don't look like the same person!!! Well I don't feel like the same person either. So blessed to have been given this opportunity.

Y'all hold your heads up high & try not to get discouraged!! Work your plan. The scale will eventually move. Just don't give up!!

That's great. Keep at it!!

I have not lost for over s month, it is normal for the 4 th month for everyone? My weight loss has not been great. I did start a walking program and use my fitness pal to make sure I follow a high protien low carb plan, I also make a point to get all my water in............ it is just hard since I had such fast results.......any hits to get though this?

you all are so cute! I love reading your posts and having others to relate to. It's hard when other people (family, friends) have such high expectations of me, that when my weight plateaus I feel like such a failure. I know they don't mean to be insensitive, I think I am just overly sensitive. I get nervous when I see them and wonder if they're thinking "why isn't she losing weight?" So to have you guys to talk to, is a really good thing! Anyway, I still have not lost any more weight. It's been over 2 months since I have lost anything! Onlybroomegirl, I wanted to tell you to keep up the good work. if you are staying under 30 carbs a day...you WILL lose weight. That is not an easy thing to do- I am proud of you! For you to get in the 100's is awesome!!! :) I would have to say that is my short term goal- to get under 200 lbs. but I have quite a bit to lose before I get there. I am stuck at 236lbs. I ordered some Protein Powder. I'm hoping that when It arrives I can start drinking a couple Protein Drinks a day, then maybe a low carb meal for dinner. Well, that is my intention......I'm not too sure if I can do it? thanks for all your help & god bless

Cja76 you can do this!!! Remember this is not a race. It's a new lifestyle. Thank you for the encouragement! We just have to take 1 day at a time. This is such a wonderful opportunity for us to " reclaim" our lives & our health! You were so brave to get this far. Never give up! If you get discouraged you may stray from the plan. It's too important to give up. We are all here if you need us! Good luck!!

Ok so I did some side by side comparisons today. and thought I would share ( I wear the same outfit for all my monthly photos). I am so happy with my sleeve!!! The pics are from the day before surgery vs today. I had lost 32 lbs before surgery. I don't have a good pic to show from that But here are my stats.

Overall highest weight. 393

Beginning of journey. 372

WOW. Leighanne! You look great! You can really see the difference in your side by side photos, and you look a lot younger also! Good job!!!

I did a side by side of my face. It's crazy the difference. Don't mind the redness in the most recent one. I had just gotten my brows and lip waxed. Hah.
