  2. WOW. Leighanne! You look great! You can really see the difference in your side by side photos, and you look a lot younger also! Good job!!!
  3. you all are so cute! I love reading your posts and having others to relate to. It's hard when other people (family, friends) have such high expectations of me, that when my weight plateaus I feel like such a failure. I know they don't mean to be insensitive, I think I am just overly sensitive. I get nervous when I see them and wonder if they're thinking "why isn't she losing weight?" So to have you guys to talk to, is a really good thing! Anyway, I still have not lost any more weight. It's been over 2 months since I have lost anything! Onlybroomegirl, I wanted to tell you to keep up the good work. if you are staying under 30 carbs a day...you WILL lose weight. That is not an easy thing to do- I am proud of you! For you to get in the 100's is awesome!!! I would have to say that is my short term goal- to get under 200 lbs. but I have quite a bit to lose before I get there. I am stuck at 236lbs. I ordered some Protein Powder. I'm hoping that when It arrives I can start drinking a couple Protein Drinks a day, then maybe a low carb meal for dinner. Well, that is my intention......I'm not too sure if I can do it? thanks for all your help & god bless
  4. Thank you all for your support and encouragement. I really needed to hear that! Its so nice having other people to talk to who understand what your going through. I am going to try to hang in there. I want this so bad....I just really want to get under 200lbs. It's just going to be more work now that I am back to eating regular food. Maybe I will try and drink more protein, like you said and see if that helps? But I really really appreciate your words of encouragement - If any of you have any tips that will help, please let me know! god bless!
  5. Im glad for all of you that have had so much success. Im wondering what is wrong with me. Why haven't I been so successful? My weight before surgery was I think 283 and now my weight is 236. but I had my surgery on feb 13th 2014. I haven't lost any weight for about 2 months.I fell like Im the only person who has failed at surgery. Im so depressed.
  6. wow, you look great! good job! If you don't mind me asking, what is your daily routine? Do you eat 3 small meals a day or are you on a specific diet? I had my surgery almost 3 months ago now and I have not lost any weight....( well very little weight ) in the past month. I am so sad and mad at myself. I know I've been eating too much. My problem Is I wake up at night and eat. I do pretty good all day then all my work goes down the drain or should I say down my throat at night! I need to get in gear because I really want to lose weight.
  7. HI everyone! I had my sleeve surgery on Feb 13 2014. and I just wanted to tell all of you that have surgeries coming up that you're taking a big step and it will be so worth it! I myself know what you mean about missing food but remember you will still be able to eat just in much smaller portions and for some reason when you get full you don't even want to keep eating. If you are in a state of mind of being grateful for your surgery that will help. I just wanted to wish you luck and congratulate you on taking control of your life! God bless you,
  8. Im so glad to have a new friend too!!! I did better last night. I controlled my eating much better; I still woke up all night but I think I only ate twice in the middle of the night which is really good for me! I had a string cheese and a fudgecicle. So we'll see how tonight goes? If I can just break that bad habit I know I'll start losing again... Hope to talk to you soon
  9. dear roundisashape, I like your username! I just wanted to say thank you for giving me support and for giving me some suggestions! I think I will also keep my sons ipad around at night & if I wake up maybe I can play a game instead of getting up & going to the kitchen! I think you are right about getting my lack of sleep under control. It probably does affect more areas of my life than I know. Anyway, thanks for replying to my post- I was happy to see someone had some words of wisdom for me! I hope to talk to you soon! love, cja
  10. I just recently had my surgery (Feb 2014) about 9 weeks ago, and I am at a plateau. I am feeling so disappointed with myself. I have been at the same weight for about 3 weeks. I was doing good at first. I had lost 49lbs. Then I started slipping back into my old habits of eating at night. I am having a hard time with that . I wake up every 15-25 minutes and eat just a little each time...but it adds up to a whole lot. I just want to cry I am so mad at myself. I am going to keep trying though. I'm not giving up this easy With enough willpower I know I can get back on track!
  11. Hi guys! I had my surgery on Feb. 13th 2014. I've lost almost 50 lbs as of Monday March 31st. I am happy with my weight loss but I must say most of it was in the first 6 weeks after surgery. I have been really disappointed with myself for the past couple of weeks. I do really good during the daytime hours with my diet, but I have this really bad habit of waking up all night long and I go straight to the kitchen. For some reason I can't stay asleep longer than 20-30 minutes at a time. That adds up to a lot of snacking at night. I do have sleep apnea which is probably most of my problem. I just wish I could stop myself from night eating. I also wish I would use my exercise equipment I recently purchased to help with my weight loss! If I could use it even just two or three times a week, I know that would help a lot. I'm wondering how you all are doing with your momentum? Does anyone out there have a problem with night eating or am I the only one?
  12. Hi everyone. I am new to this website, but I'm so glad to have found one that I could register on without problems. I had my vertical sleeve surgery on 02-13-14. I am doing good. I haven't weighed this week but I feel like I look like I haven't lost much this week. Nothing tastes the same as before surgery. I am trying to stick close to the diet they gave me. I am excited to get an elliptical machine or some sort of exercise equipment to help speed up my weight loss! I am looking for a used one since I am on a low, low budget! I'm looking forward to conversing with my fellow February sleevers! \Have a good day! cja76
