March 9 will be 3 months since sleeved, total weight lose 48 lbs... Starting weight 246, day of surgery 230... My problem is the past 3 weeks I've lost 2 1/2 lbs... Not sure what I'm doing wrong I'm doing the shakes , having the right foods, the only thing I'm not doing is exercising since freezing and tons of snow ( excuse) would that be why I am stalling?

Add some exercise at home. My house is tiny, less than 900 sq feet and I walk in the living room. I do four steps forward forward four steps back for thirty minutes or more. Do you have weights or resistance bands at home? Do you have planet fitness near your home it is really cheap and has everything you need. I really think increasing your activity will help. I know it is the only thing that helps me. I have lost 83 pounds since the fourth of July 2013 and most of it was exercising at home.

March 10th will be 2 months for me and I've already experienced 3 pretty significant stalls. I don't recommend this but I can tell you what worked for me. I actually ate MORE and within a day or so, the scale started to move again. I didn't eat unhealthy foods because that would be defeating in the purpose but I ate MORE Protein and lean meat, a little bit more salad, Beans, etc and it has gotten me out of my stalls every time. I got the idea from another post on here where she said during stalls she would eat 5 meals a day instead of 3. I don't know why it works, but apparently there's something to it. Once I'm past the stall, I go back to eating normally.

It has happened to me as well - stalled for about 2 weeks and I am almost 3 months out. It is very discouraging, but it starts back again. I was even still exercising. Have lost 55 since surgery 9 December and a total of 78 from preop. Hang in there!

You could always walk stairs, if you have them in your home. Kind of boring, but it works. Start with 10 up and 10 down--it will get your blood pumping. Good luck!

Are you regular? I had a stall as well... it lasted about 2 weeks. It dawned upon me that I had not had a BM in about a week or so. I started Miralax (per doctor) and Fiber Gummers ( 2 twice a day) last Monday and once things got moving the scale started moving. I have lost 7 lbs in the last week. Prior to the Miralax and Fiber gummies I was around 231... now I am 224. For ME... I believe my stall was due to constipation.. it may or may not be your case.

I agree with Bronco0605.

I have the video Walk Your Belly Flat by Leslie Sasson, which is speed walking in place, with added arm, leg and waist movements that engage every muscle in the body. It can be done standing in place holding on to a walker if you have to.

I also do strength training, one day with small handheld bar bells, and a second day with body resistance (wearing ankle and wrist weights) - things like: pull ups, push ups, squats, elbow crossed over to knee crunches, and lunges holding a gallon of laundry soap in each hand. Even Pilates kicks my butt. Sometimes, I even dance to the music for half an hour. My form stinks but it is improving. There are a lot of things you can do in a small space.

The human body needs to move or we crystalize with inflammation and arthritis. Between the sleeve and exercise and losing halfway to my goal weight, my health and energy are improving exponentially. Exercise actually feels good now. Who'd a thunk it? I can't wait for weather nice enough to be outside. It is 14 degrees in Chicago today. Brrrrrrrrr.

Also, I broke a stall when I quit eating so much cheese (one of my slider foods).

Here's something I copied from ButterTheBean (a veteran sleever). It helped me a lot:

If your weight loss has stalled, read THIS.

Karen, tell us more about yourself. You may not lose as fast as others. Your loss rate is similar to mine. Age, starting BMI and gender play a big role.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
