Hello,

I got the band 3 years ago...and I just feel hungry...I eat I guess what fills my pouch but I still feel the underlying hunger...so I basically have to wait for that food to pass and then I fill the pouch again to try to get rid of the hunger.....I'm considering the sleeve but please tell me DO YOU ACTUALLY FEEL FULL??? LIKE THE FULL YOU FELT BEFORE THE SURGERY AFTER YOU EAT JUST YOUR LITTLE PORTION? I am struggling with this. Please share.

I actually feel fuller than I ever have in my life, and sometimes that can be frustrating as even after 5 months, I can only manage very tiny portions of a meal. For example, if I go out and order a salad, I can only eat about 1/4 to 1/3 of it and I am stuffed!

Honestly I feel more full after the sleeve than I think I ever felt before it. I'm 8 months out and depending on what I eat, my body usually tells me right around the 3 ounce mark to STOP, it doesn't want anymore. In between meals I do sometimes get hungry but somehow it is less intense and urgent than before the sleeve. If it isn't time for my regularly scheduled snack, even if I am feeling a little hungry I can just remind myself that I can eat later and I easily put it out of my mind and move on. I could have never done that before, I would have been raiding the vending machine at work because I "needed" an oversize snack bag of Fritos and one of Reese's Pieces, too.

I do get very hungry as I did before. But I also get as full as I did before, just with smaller portions, which is frustrating sometimes. But it is for the best!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
