Southern States Beginner

Recommended Posts

So I have been thinking about surgery for many years. In february of last year I really jumped on the ban wagon of doing it! So here I am a little over a year later and my surgery date is February 25! I am on my all Protein Shake diet (yuck) and I have known people that have had bariatric surgery, but only one that has had sleeve. I am looking for someone who either has had this journey or is beginning themselves on this journey on or around my surgery date. Any southern state will do. Anybody want to go on this journey with me?

I'm in Texas and being sleeved on March 5th. I'm on day 2 of my pre-op diet right now and hoping it gets a little better after a few days because this constant headache is killing me. I'm getting nervous as the date gets closer but am also so very excited to finally get my weight under control! Good luck on your surgery. I wish mine were a little closer...the waiting is driving me nuts! :)

I am being sleeved on Thursday 02/27/14 and am in Texas...I have 2 days left of this pre-op diet and am horribly hungry and feel like poo. I don't have anyone to journey with either! Good luck today!! I hope all goes smoothly for you and you are more than welcome to message me anytime. I cannot wait to hear how your surgery went.

I am in Mississippi and I was sleeved On Feb. 10th. The first week was pretty rough, second week was no fun but weeks 3 and 4 have been tolerable. I'm still having to drink Protein Drinks in order to get my Protein in but otherwise it's not too bad. I still struggle getting all the Water in but I am doing better than I did pre surgery. I'm feeling great and am so happy I had this surgery. Looking forward to losing lots of weight and would love some southern sleeve buddies.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
