I have a question... I was sleeved on September the 15th. I have recently been working out with a trainer for almost two months. We take my measurements weekly. Today we took my measurements on my waist and I went up three inches, but my hips went down an inch. When measuring my waist, he told me that I had the tape in the wrong place, but I didn't Bc it was right across my bellybutton. He said it is lower than where he measures each week and it seemed to be like I was almost to my hip line. So my question is does you bellybutton drop...is this just part of this crazy process and it will all come together at the end? I mean there is such a thing called gravity... Please if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions on my measurements please let me know. I dropped weight this week too... Just confused. Thanks in advance!

I was sleeved 9/11/13. I lost 135 pounds in the first 10 months and then I gave up until 8 days ago. I fell off track, grazed, did a lot of things I was told to avoid and gained back 11 pounds in the process. I am now back on track, following all the guidelines and exercising again. I was feeling really crappy and totally fat until I came across this gem (before photo). It made me run upstairs and take a pic of myself right now for comparison! I've got 50-60 pounds to go, but in this moment I know it's possible.

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
