What kind of foods are you eating?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what kind of foods/meals are you eating if you six weeks or more post op? I am going on seven weeks post op and have craving for Chinese/Thai food. Specially Yellow chicken Curry and Veggies, Pad Thai or Fried Rice. Aren't these all bad choices? Help what would you choose/do if you were me? What can we eat off these types of food menu? Help.

Don't suffer. Order it, you'll take 2-3 bites, and you're done. Craving satisfied. No stress. Put the rest in little containers and freeze.

I'd try to avoid most of the rice, though; and don't eat it everyday or force it down in full and stretch your stomach.

I'm just over 7 weeks out. I am still on soft foods. So I eat soft meats and cheese sticks only. Maybe order the meat portion of what your craving and no rice.

I am 8 weeks today and can eat anything my stomach can tolerate and so far it has tolerated everything I have given it. I, like you, had a bad craving for rice, veggies and chicken. I ate it. I made it fresh at home though. I took a couple bites, was satisfied for a couple hours then had a couple more bites... at this point, it is all about what you can tolerate. Remember to chew well and eat slow.

I am 14 weeks out and I eat anything I want. As stated before 3 or 4 bites and I am good. It is awesome to not worry about food and exercise. Don't get me wrong. I log my Protein. Protein is always first . Then liquids. And I am going to the gym to exercise, to strengthen my body. Not to lose weight. It is so amazing that I don't have to guilt myself out it a strange and wonderful thing. I wish that I had done this years ago. I am 55.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
