Love this! I'm 16 months out and trying to get back on track here! Great food ideas! Some of mine are:

Black olives

String cheese

eggs

High Fiber oatmeal

Fiber One bars

Salmon

Spring mix salad with mozzarella, tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, and olives

Lentils or 15 bean Soup

Raw almonds that I roast myself

Sauteed spinach.... seriously with every meal....I have a problem lol

Fage 0 Greek Yogurt. I eat it with frozen blueberries and splenda, just splenda or sometimes as a shake with a couple of frozen strawberries, a splash of OJ, splenda, and a bigger splash of Water. I also use it instead of mayo or sour cream in Soups, dips and as a topping.

costco Rotisserie chicken. I eat it plain, on a sandwich with one slice of whole wheat bread, chopped with apples, celery and Fage, and I add it to salads, and soups.

Costco Low Fat Ham Lunchmeat. I eat it plain, on a sandwich with one slice of whole wheat bread, and I add it to salads.

Soy Milk. Still a little lactose intolerant after almost three years. I use it with low calorie cereal, in oatmeal, with Starbucks Via Decaf instead of a Latte, and heated with a little sugar free Torini syrup for a sweet treat.

Fish. I eat fish at least three times a week for dinner. I portion it up in serving sizes and freeze. My current favs are Steelhead Trout from Costco and Chilean Sea Bass. My fav way to fix it is with a sauce made of soy sauce and splenda, with brocolli on the side or served on a bed of spinach.

Ground Beef. My hubby grinds it for us so we control the fat content. I eat it stir fried with frozen mixed veggies, in a patty, and made into meatballs and added to soups.

I also eat whatever fresh veggies and fruit are in season, whole wheat bread, oatmeal, Special K cereal and crackers, baked potatoes and sweet potatoes, and Minute Maid Whole Grain Medley. I almost always have romaine lettuce, spinach, and tomatoes fresh.

I also eat a lot more frozen veggies now. So easy to shake out a little for a meal to add to a salad, soup, or stir fry. My current favs are frozen mixed veggies, roasted peppers, Beans (no sodium, which is hard to find in the canned), butternut squash, and corn. I know the corn is not the best food but I love it in a southwestern salad.

For treats, I like pretzels, Peanut Butter or PB2 on fruit or graham crackers. I also have a stash of candied ginger because it's one of the few sweets that I can keep in the house without over indulging.

I drink Diet Lipton Green Tea with Citrus, Sleepytime Tea, and a lot of water.

This is my usual shopping list. I don't buy all of this all the time obviously but I try to mix it up. I'm over a year out

chicken breast

Tilapia

Ground turkey

Shrimp

eggs

Low fat ricotta

Low fat string cheese

Low fat shredded cheddar cheese

Pre made turkey meatballs (in the frozen section) fast easy and yummy!

Cabbage

Wonton wrappers

Whole wheat flat breads

Black Beans

White beans

Avocados

Laughing cow light cheese wedges

Spaghetti squash

Butternut squash

sugar free syrups (Torini is most known)

Rice cakes

Peanut Butter

Sugar free preserves

Turkey kielbasa

Chickpeas

Spinach

Sunflower seeds (for salads)

Dried cranberries (love em on salads)

Goat cheese

Roasted red peppers in a jar (highly recommend! Lots you can do with these)

Pickles

Portabello mushrooms

Just some ideas!

Roasted chickpeas, gouda parrano, premier protein drinks, deli sliced turkey, marinated chicken or salmon, a good steak, chicken cesar salads with roasted onions and tomatoes (Whole Foods has this perfect combo in their salad bar. I'm wanting it every day lately.)

Quest bars and Body Fortress protein powder. They are the only things with artificial sweeteners I allow in my diet, and only because I HAVE to get in the protein. One bar a day and one scoop of powder in some iced coffee every day and I've gotten in 50g protein. Other than that, I ALWAYS have cheese in the fridge. String cheese, sliced cheese, and shredded cheese. Also chicken and tuna. I very rarely eat red meat.

Broccoli

Green Giant frozen veggies(the ones that come in single serving sizes)

All white meat chicken salad from the deli section at Kroger

Ham slices

sugar free gum(no, I don't eat it but I love to chew it after meals to freshen my breath)

No sugar added pickles

eggs

Lettuce( I use it to wrap my sandwich fixings in and avoid the bread)

Oh boy I have so many...I'm 3 months out.

Beef Jerky

Almonds-Low Sodium or a small amt of Smoked

2% Land O Lakes American cheese

Wegmans 98% FF Turkey Deli meat

Manchego Cheese & Serrano Ham appetizers from BJ's(they make a great lunch with some berries & almonds-just ham wrapped around cheese)

Premier Protein chocolate RTD

1/2 burger w/ cheese, no bun & a bit of lettuce, tomato & pickle(from the topping, I chopped it and eat it all like a burger salad then take home the other half to have a salad the next day)

sugar free Hazelnut Creamer & decaf K-cups for my coffee fix once a day!
