Mashed potatoes and gravy, yum! And yes, we can eat most of those foods. Now, whether or not we should is a whole nother story!

Off the subject, but I have a question about cilantro. I love it, too. I threw some seeds in my garden and now I have tons of cilantro growing!! But, my question is......it is getting so big that it looks like a bush....should I cut it way down? or what? I'm sure that big stalk isn't tasty!!!

Im going to reveal something about myself i havent revealed to most people.

i have a thing about those little birthday cakes they make for one person over in the bakery section of the grocery store.

we dont have real bakeries here in northern maine. Just a bakery section in the grocery store. My troubles started here. I quit smoking a few years ago. I was at three packs a day when i quit. as a weekly reward, every THURSDAY i would buy one of those little birthday cakes. They are beautiful, really perfect little works of art and the only reason they are made is to make people happy. specificlly...one person...alone on their birthday...and i couldnt let that go...

so i did that for a year or so...and gained a hundred lbs or so....

i havent had one since about six months before being banded.

so there it is...

im a birthday cake addict.

oh n i love coriandar too. i use it in tomatoes with butter, honey and crumbled up cornbread. Yum!

pizza. I have figured out how to make a lower cal pizza with a very thin crust though I do pile on the cheese. That's Protein. I have pizza at least once a week though I find that I can't eat much of it. I figure I'd be challenged to eat a whole slice of New York pizza. I absolutely loathe cilantro but love tarragon. But I also love French food.< /p>

Mac and cheese. It's the ultimate comfort food for me. I just read about an eatery in NY that specializes in mac and cheese. It's called S'MAC. You can have your mac and cheese 10 different ways. Yum.:hungry:

OMG!

You are sooo evil! I don't even know if I can eat this once healed but I saved the Mozzarella Mac recipe because I have to taste it!

Aaarghhh......(and yet part of me thanks you! :clap2:)

Mexican food----one day enchiladas would be my favorite, the next day it might be chimichangas, the next day rellanos----heck I could comfort myself all week long!!!!

If it isn't available---I would have chose potatoes....they too can make me happy in multiple ways....mashed, fried, scalloped, baked................

Potatoes!!!!!!! LOL!!! When I go to Mexicali for "issues" Lucerna hotel is where I stay. Familiar with it? :) They have THE BEST French Onion Soup and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Since this is the best of the best type of restaurant, they look at me funny when I order Soup before a meal and Mashed potatoes for a meal.

Who cares, I live in the US. They won't see me again until the next time I am there.

Go'en there tomorrow, btw. LOL

I can eat any Chinese food just now - no fill.

You'll be able to eat - just smaller amounts - have heard others say that rice is a no no though.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
