Just got my surgery date....February 12!

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, my name is Fiordaliza. I will get my Sleeve surgery on Feb 12. Before that. I have 2 appointments to attend. One is to watch a video and the other is to sign the paperwork. I can't wait but at the same time, I'm nervous. You see, I already had the lap-band and that was a complete failure. Another fear is anesthesia. I have asthma and having breathing issues can complicate things. Anyway, if I can get some tips from from you, it would be awesome.

Good luck to those getting surgery and "awesome" to those that got surgery.

Ciao!

Congrats to you. Your at the starting point of a new life for yourself. Best advice I can give you is to make this journey all about you, and the new you. Distance yourself from negative comments, negative friends, and people that try to undermined your new way of eating. For me that includes family. When negative is spoken I graciously leave the situation. Surround yourself with love, peace, and joy. You can do this just follow the program.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
