I understand that as we lose weight our shoe size may change. Im not banded yet but I have serious shoe buying issues. I LOVE them! I dont want to buy an expensive pair of shoes if my size will change. i dont have wide feet so width isnt likely to change much but i do wear a size 11.

I know everybody is different, Id just like to hear of your experiences. And yes possibly help me understand the probability.

Thanx! I thought that since this is a question Ive had for so long, others must also wonder. And what better way to satisfiy everyone's curiousity than by setting up a poll. I really hope a lot of people vote.

I hope lots vote, too! I'd love to think I could possibly actually wear something smaller than a US women's 11W.

I have gone from a size 7 1/2 or 8 to a 6 1/2 or 7 (US womens sizes). I just bought new gym shoes and they were 7's my old ones were 8's. ~Mandy

I want to know if its possible, or rather if anyone has ever gone down to a shoe size they never had since before puberty?

I've been wearing size 12 since the fifth grade... (always did have big feet and hands, and then later on, boobs) I would love to be able to shop in stores for shoes other than payless. I doubt it would happen as back then I was shorter and thinner, but...

Kyethra, I'm guessing you likely wonuldn't be able to go that low, after all, it was puberty and a growth spurt that caused that size change. Though I could be totally wrong! (And kind of hope I am, I'd love to be in a 9 again.)

My feet have gotten thinner but not shorter, yet. I am hoping to go down a full size sometime soon. I have lots of very cute shoes from college that I'd love to be able to wear again. I am a total shoe hound.

I went from a 10M to a 9.5M. Found that I started walking out of my shoes, so now I have been buying new shoes along with new clothes.

I went down a full size and no longer need wide width. It certainly has made shoes more comfortable. Before, not only were my feet so wide....but I was getting edema in my feet and ankles which made it even worse. I can also wear heels all day at work without my knees, back, and feet killing me!

I went from a 9 1/2 wide to a 9 M. I'm happy, there is no nice youthful selection of wide width shoes.

I was a 9W and can now wear an 8 to 8 1/2 normal width. One of the many benefits of the lapband, cuter shoes!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
