Joyous day. Do what you are told by the professionals around you. Use this sight for support. Continue to nurture those who will support you. Clean house of all the bad stuff you can. Follow the diet. Be nervous, like the rest of us. And Celebrate the real beginning of the rest of your life.

Yeah!

Pamper yourself a bit before surgery. Have a mani or a pedi, buy a cute new nightgown or robe to wear in the hospital & at home the first few days, give yourself a little home spa day the day before surgery, etc. Being in the hospital & those first few days at home can be rough, so treat yourself extra special right before. Good luck!

How did you all deal with the preparation? I still want to be social and have lunch with friends. I'm comfortable only having Water while they eat. But how do you make others be comfortable around you? I have a great circle of friends and an awesome family. I just don't want to make them feel awkward or that it's wrong for them to enjoy a meal in front of me.

I absolutely believe in prayer. Thank you. I've observed the board for months but never logged in. The support you all show for each other is truly awe inspiring.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
