This is why I love my sleeve

Recommended Posts

I have been a bad girl during the holidays. I ate things I should not have and got way off plan. I have recommitted myself to following the plan starting the new year. I have been eating on plan ( and yes, it has been hard to get back on track) and moving more. In just a couple days I managed to not only get the couple pounds off I regained, I also managed to lose two additional pounds. I am at the year end goal I set for myself and only a few days late. This is why I love the sleeve. As long as I do what I am supposed to do I WILL lose the weight! Best desicion I ever made!

Same here, I've been eating like total crap lately and that was only compounded by the holidays. It took me a couple weeks to rebound but I did and I woke up today lighter than I've been in probably 20 years.

I do love my sleeve and the decision I made to get it.

Me too, lighter than in years. I do not know the actual last time I was this weight, but I would say at least 15+ years!

I'm with you! I ate with abandon too many Holiday goodies. Somehow managed to only gain 2 lbs. Got back on track Thursday and already dropped the 2 lbs. surprised at how quick that happened. Now onward to goal! I just have to keep reminding myself why I got the surgery and that it isn't a cure for my food addiction, just a really great tool to help me if I use it correctly. Taking part in the Valentine's Fay challenge which I hope will keep me motivated.

It's not hard to get off track. It does get harder the farther out you get. So develop healthy clean eating habits and always be on top of your game. We can do this, it takes making a habit out of it.... :P

Lol, I thought I was the only one who got a little off track. I did great until I made my grandmas snowball Cookies. Those things are evil lol

Anyway, I gained 2.5lbs. over the holidays, and have since taken double that off. I too am in love with my sleeve (and my new more powerful "good angel").

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
