February/March 2014 sleevers

I'm so excited to be this close to surgery. I don't have a date yet. I go back to the surgeon on Jan. 8, 2014. I expect we will set a date then (hopefully). January 29 ends the 3 month "diet" period. So I think I'm looking at surgery in February. :)

Another observation. Percocet does not make me perky. Not even close. Lol! I just want to sleep.

Congrag on being on the other side. Wow 2 days already. Your doing great.

Just take one step at a time. In no time you'll be in smaller clothes and look at how good your sugar #'s are doing.

Gas is a big problem w/some people after surgery. Also the muscles by the one incision is the biggest complaint about hurting others have said.

Your doing great. Keep up the good work and walk, walk, walk, drink, drink, drink…..uh water that is.

Keep us posted.

Tomorrow is the day for my surgery. On all liquids now. A lady I met at the pre-op meeting had her's Fri and she is keeping me up on how she did and is doing. She'll stop in Tues to see me since she will be at the hosp for the post op learn how to eat class.

Glitter and KS how are you guys going? Super F how are you and Sara Jane?

I'm not nervous but will be glad when it's over and I'm on the way to better health.

It's our week ladies and we're going to rock it. :)

I walked a mile today. Wahoo!

I'm glad you aren't feeling nerves. They were definitely getting to me for a few days before. I hope you have an easy, speedy recovery!

But so far, I'm far too excited to be nervous. And yes it is. We got this!!

I'm getting a bit nervous now. Just for the anesthesia part. I get super sick from it. I keep getting emotional too. I know I'll be okay. Just scared for my baby girl if things don't go well.

At this time tomorrow, I'm hoping I'm waking the halls and not throwing up. Fingers crossed :)

I did not tell anyone but my husband. This is my journey and I am doing it for me and do not want people to judge or sabotage my efforts.

Tell them about wanting anti-nausia meds. Tell the anesthesiologist, tell them you WANT anti nausea meds. I can't take any narcotic pain killers. I tell everyone and anyone no narcotics at all.

Your going to do fine. Is this your first surgery?

Feb 25 here! Getting nervous and feeling a bit depressed. Is that normal? The depressed part?

WOW walked a mile. Congrag!!!!!

I am four days out now? Do you count the day you had surgery? Lol. I had surgery Thursday. I already have two girlfriends coming over tomorrow since they have the day off and hubs doesn't and we are all going walking together. I can't wait until I'm cleared to go back to the gym!

Hopefully you get to meet with your anesthesiologist and tell them about previous experiences. I have had multiple surgeries and a different complication or weird reaction to the anesthesia. I got to talk to my anesthesiologist before surgery. This time I had a hard time waking up, which I have had before. But I didn't get nauseas and vomit everywhere and I didn't come out unable to breathe on my own (anesthesia caused a partially collapsed lung when I had my band placed in 2009). I will take the struggling to wake up over being violently ill after abdominal surgery. I am making up for it with long walks outside and also trying to walk around the island in my parents kitchen every time I get up because I didn't get out of bed (except to pee twice) for at least 24 hours after surgery. Just making sure I keep that blood moving!

Keep us updated. I'm wishing you all the best and know you will pull through beautifully!
