New Goals for the New Year?! :) Before and after pics.

Hello Fellow Vets!

I was just wondering what everyone's plans are for getting back on track after the Christimas Season? I haven't really done terrible but I did gain 3 pounds in the past two months. It really scares me. I don't really feel I eat more just made some bad choices. But with the weight gain, I HAVE to be eating more. Seems that old "sugar" habit is sneaking back in my life. I've decided to set a new goal for myself and be at goal by my 2 year surgeversay in May. I really want to have a BMI of less than 25 and be at my healthy goal of 145 to 150 by then. I'm excited about getting back on track and having some normalcy in my life after the holidays. I've also had a lot of stress in my life lately and am still dealing with the GERD issues and esophageal spasms. I've decided to try and live with it even though I'm on meds and probably will be forever. I still can't sleep on my sides and have to sleep propped up on my back or else I will get a spasm and they hurt like CRAZY!! Bypass isn't an option as long as I can function without doing more surgery. I can keep down food obviously so I pray that things stay stablized. :)

Well, would love to hear how you guys are doing and what ideas y'all have for the new year!

OH NSV.. Even though I gained three pounds, I was able to buy a size 10 jeans yesterday and they fit comfortably. I don't think I will be able to wear a size 10 in everything but I was happy happy happy to buy these!

Decided to post these before and afters. I am still so grateful to have made it this far! Would love to see before and afters of my fellow vets! It really does help to see how far we ALL have come. :)

GOD BLESS!

I want to get to goal this year, preferably in the next few months (my surgery was 12/19/12). I'm going to be more diligent with weighing and measuring my food, since I've gotten a little lax with that. I'll continue tracking every bite on my fitness pal. And, I'm going to ramp up my exercise. Here's to a healthy 2014!

Wowowow! Good job to the OP, you look amazing, what an inspiration.

Lisa, you look great! Size 10 - whoop! And can I say... you hair looks lovely - so shiny! Secrets please?

Whatever you're doing, it is working!

I need to cut back on the sugar.... I havent seen any weight gain from it yet but I find mysekf reaching for it a LOT mor often than I had been.... I never really limited the other carbs as long as I ate Proteins first...

I recently had hysterectomy and studies show the aveerage weight gain 1 year out is 20 pounds...THAT CANNOT HAPPEN FOR ME so I need to monitor my habits....

Aww thank you so much!!

Actually my hair is very thin. I've lost half my volumn. I was blessed to have very thick hair. :) I do take 10,000 mcg of Biotin everyday and have started taking prenatal vitamins! hahaha.. funny someone my age taking prenatal Vitamins. I have to say that they really help my hair and nails.

I'm still struggling to lose weight. I wish it wasn't so hard this far out!! Happy to be in a 10 though!

Have a great day and God bless!!

217 now 155 5 months out

I too want to refocus tracking. I have been trailing off at the end of the day. That's the part of the day with the most "risk" for head hunger behavior. I have not succumbed to it; still, take one thing away and it becomes a slippery slope.

I also would like to have plastic surgery this year.

I want to loose 40lbs and get to goal. This will take a serious effort. Gained 3lbs baking but lost it this week was sick.

Only got a short time frame so even if I loose half I'll be happy.

I first of all want to lose the 10 Lbs I gained between Halloween and New Years day. That will put me back to the after picture below. When I achieve this first goal I then WILL get to my final goal before my Surgiversary date June 21st.
