Georgetown bariatrics in kentucky

Recommended Posts

So I am just started my gastric sleeve journey. I am 38 years old with three fantastic little boys. I have been to the information session and in the process of seeing a cardiologist, PC, and getting a EGD. I am going thru georgetown bariatric with Dr. Derek Weiss in georgetown, ky. I am self pay. Stupid insurance has a wls exclusion. The price of surgery is around 16,000. I have worried about paying this much but have come to term that it's a small price to pay for my health. I also worry about the surgery it's self and complication. I love this site but it can also scare the crap out of you! I know that I have todo this to get heathy for myself and family. My question is has anyone used georgetown bariatrics or Dr Weiss that can give me feedback. I am such a worry wart I think is the waiting that makes me crazy!

I am actually going through the Bowling Green ofc of Bluegrass Bariatrics. I have met Dr. Weiss, but Dr. Nwanguma is doing my surgery on Christmas Eve. I will let you know how everything goes and what my experience was like. Congrats to both of us on our brave, healthy choice!! Thinner times ahead :-)

I used Dr. Weiss. I did have a leak but I don't believe it was anything that either he or I did wrong, just one of those things that happen.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
