I'm trying to make my portions smaller and do all things that will have to be done after surgery but its so hard to do. Anyone else run into same issues?? Did you have success still with surgery???

I would think it would be hard pre surgery! I am a month out of a rounY and can only eat 1/2 cup BUT afterwards that makes u very full.. No hunger that u must deal with before with that small amount! Best of luck! Best thing I have ever done for myself!

After the surgery, you will be physically unable to eat a big portion! I started with 1/4 of a cup and sometimes that was too much. One scrambled egg would be too much or a yogurt. It is amazing that you can go from eating 4 eggs at a time plus sausage and toast to less than an egg. Hang in there! You will be soooooo glad!

Im 8 weeks out and like you tried to practice and it was very hard to take small bites and chew chew chew and believe me post op you will learn this quick but one thing you can do which I wish I had was practice the slowing down, putting your fork down use a timer if need this is a very hard habit. I have gotten sick twice so far and both times from eating to fast....good luck!

That's good advice thank you! How much time would you put on a timer? I found an app for my phone called "Eat Slower" that I can put in what time I want for the intervals.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
