Knocking On The Door Of The 200's Lbs..open-Open-Open

Recommended Posts

Just went to the Dr for a fill and am knocking on the door of 200's. I'm at 311..yay... I haven't seen that in about 20 years....How to I keep up my momentum during the holidays? I'm starting to snack more often...UGH! :P

Sounds like you're doing great!! :D Don't let all the holiday temptations undo all your hard work. Something that's been helping me is eating it if I *really* want it (I actually stop and think before eating, and don't just mindlessly grab it), staying honest and recording the calories towards my daily allowance, and moving on! You've got this!! 200's here you come!!!!!

Ha, good one! I was just reading about fierceness in another post. Let's be fierce. Glad you got your fill -- goal is to wait the allotted time and note whether hunger has returned. Snacking will not give you the info you need. I am trying for 4-5 hours and since I am hungry again earlier than that I know I need another fill, not a snack. I figure I'm not starving as my body has plenty to snack on in the storage departments. Still figuring this thing out but so relieved to have my band. Roar your way into the 200s this holiday season -- you can do it!

I can't wait to be in your position! It's been 5 or 6 years since I've been in the 200s myself. Im current at 336 down from 369. I agree: break the damn door down! Don't knock! :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
