I'm getting really nervous now. My date is first thing Wednesday morning! I have lost 5 lbs so far in pre-op mode, so now I question myself "If I can do it now, why should I go forward with surgery". But, I have always been able to lose weight, I just can't keep it off. So, my hopes are that I will be reminded on a daily basis to eat correctly.

I go tomorrow for pre-op. Wish me luck :)

Well I have to say as far as I can tell right now everything went really well. I was in at 630 and out by noon. A nausea and soreness at the incision site, but beyond that I am doing pretty well. I haven't drank much, so I'm going to focus on that this evening. Thank you for all the well wishes and thoughts. It so nice to know there are people on your side!

Yay blueturtle! Glad to hear that you're doing well.

I'm tomorrow morning at 10am, and I'm finally feeling a bit nervous. Excited, and I can't wait, but a wee bit nervous!

I was told that I can have salad with Lemon juice and chicken breast' and the Protein Shakes. What do I do but get sushi for dinner cheating. I have lost 4 pounds though. I was just so hungry my body was craving some heavier food. Back on the Wagon tomorrow for a 1/16 Thurs AM surgery. Getting nervous.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
