Hello my name is Michelle I live in Midlothian, VA and my surgery is December 18. I start my diet today. Yes I'm a little nervous but ready to go. So question can I have my snack between breakfast and lunch instead of lunch and dinner?

Well honestly that all depends on the type of diet your surgeon requires..i cant eat all i can do is drink!!! :-( but im sappose to have 1000 calories so i drink and drink AND DRINK till i get all 1000.... but if you not sure you should ask your nut.... i dnt think they will see a problem with small healthy snacks.

I am a December 18th sleever, first time poster and user on here. My wife had her surgery November 11th. We made a decision last march that once our daughter recovered from her open heart surgery we would begin this process. I'm proud of my wife and where she is and looking forward to my new beginning. My preop diet starts Wednesday. Good luck fellow December sleevers....

Its 2am. I'm scared and my stomach is a wreck just from the anxiety. I go in Tuesday at 6 am. Just afraid something will go wrong and my baby boys won't have their Mommy. I'm low risk, no health problems besides the weight. Still no rational discussion with myself seems to put me at ease. Especially when I look at their little faces. Feeling alone.

You're not alone, Luminous -- I also have surgery on Tuesday, and I feel the same way. I finished almost all the Christmas shopping this weekend and we've cleaned the house, and in my mind, it's "just in case" I don't make it home again. I know that's probably silly, and I trust my surgeon and feel like he's both humble and responsible, but a large part of me worries about being the unfortunate statistic. Here's to both of us shaking our heads on Tuesday evening, feeling silly about being so concerned. :)

@SleevinIT we have the same surgery date!! My first preop diet starts in the am. Where are you going for surgery?

We are all here for u...anxiety levels are crazy right now especially with me to but im learning that this is just another mildstone that i have to over come in my life and believe it or not this journey would mke you stronger in more ways than one...especially when you start that preop diet youll learn how strong you really are...ive learned to just let life do its thing but trust when i say youll be alright im pretty sure there are people bigger than you on here with serious health issues that do just fine after the sleeve... YOU'LL DO JUST FINE!!! KEEP US POSTED THO

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I FINALLLY MET DEC 14!!!!! IM GOING TO SEND YU A PRIVATE MESSAGE

Goin today for my preop paperwork and testing. Then next week I meet with surgeon one last time for preop instructions. Then it's surgery the following Monday! Can't believe it's 2 weeks away!! I thought the 6 month insurance thing was gonna take forever but it flew by.

So, I just wanted to congratulate all of you on your new adventure!

I had my sleeve done last December (2012) and have had great success!

The liquid week (or two for me) was rough and the first week after surgery was no walk in the park ---- but after that you are gonna feel better than you ever could imagine!

My highest weight was 225 and my lowest (now) is 118! I am not sure if I need/want to lose anymore.

Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have! I am here to help! :)

Brittany
