Anyone had upper right pain??

Upper right abdomen? That's most likely gall bladder pain. I have had it once. It it is most likely gall stones. The 2 most common causes are obesity and rapid weight loss (bariatric surgery). You should speak with your surgeon. This pain may also go through to your back and even right shoulder blade. Gall stones can also cause nausea, vomiting, and clay colored stools. I hope this helps! (BTW, I am an RN working on a medical/surgical floor and we see this every day.)

Anyone get light headed and flush feeling first thing in morning before eating anything? It's happened yesterday and today. Weird. I'm getting in 70 - 80 G Protein and 50-60 oz Water every day. I know I need more water. Dr said. To make sure to at the very least get in 48oz to stay hydrated. I don't like this feeling. Bought a new blood pressure wrist machine (for hubby). And took my bp today. It was 93/50. Also the feeling goes away when I lay down. So strange

You look amazing! What are you eating? It's working. I started at 246 and am only down to 207. I feel great and think in doing well with the right foods. It's just sooo slow!

Thank you. Congratulations to you! To be honest with you, I ended up losing the first 60lbs+ very fast. I did not think I would lose it so fast considering my starting BMI, but my tolerance for most foods is not as good as most other folks. Which means my diet is very limited ( I still have at least 2 Protein Shakes daily and still soft foods) . So far, I've hit only one real stall which was at the two week postop mark, but ever since then, the pounds melt away. It is jarring sometimes, and I even find myself doing things to purposely slow it down and it's working, because I only lost 3 pounds last week. I'm trying to convince myself that if I lose weight slower, I won't have to deal with loose skin later on. Lol... Probably a total myth but I really want to avoid another surgery (skin)

Some days I have so much energy, and there are other days where I really just relax and take it easy because my energy level is low. You feel great and you're losing steadily so it seems like you are doing very well. As you probably well know everybody is going to be losing at a different pace. Keep up the good work :)

This was happen into me at the 3-4 week post op mark even after I ate. I did what you aren't supposed to and just ate a packet of salt because I was at work and could not sleep it off, since then I avoid that by drinking Gatorade regularly to avoid severe drops in my electrolyte levels and I monitor my blood pressure constantly. No issues since then. Good luck to you!

Yes! I get a racing heart and light headed. Only in the mornings after showering and having my Protein Shake. I used my mom's pulse oximeter and it shows my heart rate jumps up to 130-135 beats per minute. But when I lay down for about 10 minutes it goes back to normal. Talked to my cardio about it and will have to wear a heart halter monitor for one day. With my luck it won't happen the day I wear it! I didn't have this before surgery, but I do have mitral valve prolapse and always had the fluttering feelings come and go. Good luck to you! Hope it's not anything serious.

I went to the doctor about this today. She ordered a bunch of blood work. My blood pressure runs low already so she thinks its anemia.

It is so strange. But it seems once I eat some Protein it goes away. Hubby thinks I need to eat something at night before I go to bed so I won't get light headed in the morning. So last night I ate a Protein Bar before I went to bed and did not have any symptoms this morning. It may be coincidence but I am going to try it again tonight.

I hope the tests go ok. Mine stops after I eat only in the mornings before Breakfast. It seems so strange

Yeah. I looked up anemia too online but I don't have a lot of those signs. Not sure. If it keeps on happening then I need to go have tests ran too. Hope your results come back quickly so you know what you're dealing with

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
