TM, are you saying that I will have to attend all of the nutrition classes before they will submit paperwork to insurance? :faint:

Sue, That's what my insurance (Principal) requires. I would say you're better off contacting your insurance provider and asking them for a list of requirements that need to be met. That's what I did after Barix sent me their requirements. I wanted to be double sure with no misunderstandings.

Don't get yourself worked up until you find out from them what they require.

Good luck, and let me know what they say.

OK, here's the scoop. My insurance (BCBS) only requires that I be enrolled in the class...Charlene says that it is a requirement of the bariatric program that I take a class first. I'm guessing that is so if insurance denies your claim you can't ask for a refund! :) Getting my pantys in a bunch is what I do best TM. well on the bright side...only 10 more days till my class then she will submit to insurance.....then I will wait some more...:faint:

I am so thankful for this group! You guys help me keep what little sanity I have left!:waytogo:

Hang in there Sue :). I know the frustration is hard sometimes. I have been waiting forever it seems, and I'm just now seeing an end in sight, even though its 5 more months :).... it is an end. I started this process in April and started making myself CRAZY. I finally had to stop and say to myself "it is gonna happen, maybe not in my time, but it will happen for me too"

I think you and I should start a count down.

Sue.....9 days till 1st class:whoo:

Ang.....2 classes down...5 more to go:clap2:

Hang in there hon, we will get through this.

TM I like the count down, what a good idea!:bounce:

I have been browsing the other boards and they are talking about a fill solution that works better then saline. It's called Omnipaque, supposed to be thicker and work better and longer. Have any of you heard anything about it?:cry

Deb, I think I know what your problem might be. It looks like you might be pasting it somewhere else. Mine did that at first when I pasted it on my MS works word processor. Try pasting the image not the web address. Thats what I did. I know I will have to go in and edit my ticker and repaste it, but oh well..... Hope that helps

:bananapowerslide:This is us doing the insurance dance.

(its really not that pretty when you see it in real life :) LOL)

I hope everyone enjoys the holiday. I'm not going to do much of anything today. My husband has to work, so I will be catching up on some much needed house cleaning . I love it when I'm alone in the house and can actually accomplish something.

I hope you all have a blessed day.

eventhough i had to work yesterday, i am off today.

i dont have any plans either. i may go to catherines, they are having a sale. i am loving buying all these new clothes.

on saturday i bought 6 pairs of shoes down at jeffersonville mall. I have really big feet (size 12) and when i see shoes i have to buy them. and for the last year all i could wear were clogs. my feet were swelling so bad. now my feet arent swelling and i am hoping i can wear regular shoes!!!

LadyQT--you asked about fills. I think they only gave me half a cc, because i was steadily losing weight. at first i noticed a difference but now i dont. i go back on the 20th. I am not sure i want any more right now.

as long as i am consistently losing a pound or two a week, i am happy. i can eat whatever i want and i have no problems.

i talked to charlene and she transferred me to someone in billing. that person said it was resubmitted to the insurance. so i gotta call them again.

Happy Labor Day! I too worked yesterday, so..... in Honer of today I have decided to do NO labor.:P

Deb good job you got your ticker! I went into my profile where you edit your signature and pasted mine there, I couldn't make it stick here. Have fun shopping. I can't wait to get my band so I can buy new clothes. I refuse to buy anything new till it can be a smaller size and I am getting raggidy looking so they need to hurry up or my butt will be hanging out!:heh:

TM if we do that dance often enough we wont need the band!!

No one responded to my question about the new fill solution!:huytsao

i never heard of omnipaque. i pretty sure i just got plain ole saline.

i will have to look it up.

if they say it lasts longer, what does that mean? were does the saline go? dont women have saline breast implants and that saline doesnt absorb or go anywhere, does it

like i said--i gotta look this up.

i didnt go shopping. i went to the Greek festival with my son and DIL.

the meatballs were good!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
