Im at the jiggly belly stage. You?

DO try not to get turned on as I share this..but you know how when we're really fat, we're like..solid? Like big thighs, big calves, but they're all solid. You just look like a big strong girl/boy, right?

Well now that I'm losing fat, I'm at the jiggly stage. My stomach is a special disaster area. It's like....loose. And jiggly, and squishy and kinda...floppy. Like I said, try not to get turned on!

Ewwww! I mean I'm glad I'm losing weight don't get me wrong, but it wasn't prepared for this. I could almost tell myself I look smaller, but worse. I rush to say I'm not saying I look worse, I'm just saying...wasn't expecting this. Take note, you pre-oppers. If you're like me, you may not love your new body at every stage.

For the vets, I'm guessing we go through a few times of firm up and jiggly, before it's all over right? Or is it jigglyville from here on out?

You guys are breaking my heart, you know that?

Maybe I'm stupid but I didn't think I'd get the permanent jiggles until closer to goal. Dang. Rude awakening.

This may be TMI for some.....but after my TT my abdomen looks great. But my ass looks like 2 sleepy shar-peis.

I'm trying (not) to visualize the difference between the sleepy shar-peis and awake ones.

Do I want to know?

My OB's PA had RNY 6 years ago. Lost 150 lbs and has kept it off for 6 years. She was the first one to suggest WLS to me. I had a check up today and she said that she has to live in spanx and leggings.

But here's the interesting bit. She says her loose skin is better now than it was 3 years ago. So even 6 years out she's still seeing her skin improve and get tighter. She says to be patient and it gets better. Not perfect, but better.

That gives me hope.

Wait. Maybe that was Butter's butt. Those puppies WERE sleeping...?

Ok so my friend just had a baby and she wears all kinds of spanx or tummy supports and things. The dr told her something like that it will help the muscles heal and keep some of the elasticity a little better than if she didnt wear any kind of girdle/spanx. So my hope (surgery is in February) is that if I wear spanx while im losing weight and work out, that will help?! Obviously I know 10 years of your body being overweight and over stretched is different than 9 months, but hey, I can dream right? I mean Let me be realistic- I hate my fat body now... So I think I'd rather be healthier skinner and able to do the things I want to do and have to wear spanx the rest of my life than to be fat and unhappy the rest of my life! Woah- sorry for writing a book ;)

Omg no! If sexy bombshell over here is having jiggles' date=' I'm pretty much screwed. :([/quote']

Haha. That is hilarious!

Thoughtful, funny, sharing books always welcome! :)

Well the tummy support things might not help but they can't hurt right?? I just ordered one of the wear your own bra flexees.

And the fact is, only ONE person ever sees me naked and he loved me before. Well two, I see me naked too but I hated my body before. So in that sense, nothing will have changed :P

Fact is, looking great with clothes on and being healthy are not bad things anyway. My big surprise is for some reason, I didn't think that would happen at 3 months. I thought that like maintenance, that was a "vet problem" not a "newbie problem".

Surprise!

Gamegirl a good friend of mine had WLS and had the giggles all over. It was particularly bad in her throat/neck area. We thought for sure she would need a facelift. Well a year after hitting goal she looks amazing. All that loose skin seemed to shrink back up. She is in her early 40s and does spend time in the gym. But things improved enough that she isn't going to do plastics. Congrats on the weightloss!
