Pre Op Phase

Recommended Posts

Hi I am still probably a month to 2 months away from being sleeved, however I am trying to start now eating better and less. I was just wondering if anyone else out there is doing the same thing or did that a month or 2 before the pre-op liquid diet? I have been doing just ok with it. I get this feeling every afternoon like my body aches almost like I am getting a cold and I am wondering if anyone else has had that feeling, wondering if it is like some withdraw from the amount of foods I am eating or maybe because it is different healthier types of food? Any suggestions or experiences will be appreciated.

I changed my diet in August and was sleeved Oct.21. My change was totally voluntary, not doctor ordered. I just wanted to lose what I could pre op, and to be in a better place handling eating high Protein and low fat/carb/carb. I lost about 33lbs on my own this way. It was hard to switch. I struggled at times. I found I am a carb-aholic. Once I start eating carbs I lose control and crave them. But overall I did ok and I am glad I did it. I needed the mind reset before I had the surgery to make it forever.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
