I don't know if I look any younger, but I sure feel that way, so that's all that matters :P

i am fairly young, (31, will turn 32 before surgery. Surgery is 11/25, my birthday is 11/13), but one of my biggest concerns is losing too much in the face before I'm at goal. I have a fairly round face and can afford to lose some of it, but I have a lot to lose and don't want to look sickly, or worse, OLD! Lol!

What has been your experience? Do you recommend anything to prevent wrinkles? Pics would be appreciated. Thanks

I look older since I started losing weight. I see my mother staring back at me from the mirror. Bad enough I sound like her too. LOL

I look older but agree with NMJG...I feel so much better I don't really care. I was trying to upload a before/during photo but apparently am not smart enough to do that! :-)

I look in the mirror and see my 60 year old mother staring back at me...gives me the shivers.....

Then someone told me the other day I am a striking woman..that was nice..never saw that coming...And to top it off I was winked at twice this weekend by...should I say it good looking men...Anyway..I think it might be my perception of myself or these people are all nuts..

I think I'll go with the striking comment...works for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are 2 before, and 2 recent pics of me. I don't think I look a ton older, but I do show my age a little more now. I'm 35. I was 32 in the pirate picture, and the one with the Bob Marley statue was taken 11 months pre-op.

I think it's hard for people to say of themselves. However, if you look at the big thread where people post before and after or before and during pics, most of their faces look wonderful! Suddenly their eyes and smiles are bigger (no longer smooshed with the chub)! It's at least a very different look than most bypass patient's. Maybe initially there is some deflation but I think it catches up some how. I was so happily surprised when I saw how great people's faces looked!

I think the bypass patient's often look sickly and hollow due to the malabsorption.

Maybe look through the galleries up at the top and see some progressions. I can't wait to have a nice big smile and pretty eyes that you can see!

That's what I'm hoping for.

I guess I'm trying to recapture the youth that I wasted being fat. That last thing I want is to be skinny and unattractive.

PS. No judging please. If I can't be honest here, where can I be.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
