November fitness challenge

Will you be released for FULL ON exercise...lifting, etc. nothing held back? Or is it granted in "stages"...just curious!

It's full release but to "ease back into things."

I'm already anticipating having the cardiovascular function of day old bread.

LOL, nah, you will be good. It's not like you sat still this entire time...you might feel a bit rusty but a day or two of that and you will start feeling like the old Bean. :D

$%^# it got cold outside!! The wife and I just finished out nightly walk and it was cooooold! Total for the day is 4.15 miles and my month total is now 61.4 miles.

We are both thinking about trying this plank challenge thing. This should be interesting, who is gonna help me off the floor?

As of yesterday I'm up to 31.5 miles walked. It will be slow the next week due to surgery last Thursday. I'm still so excited to be doing a challenge!

It's been going slow but I am up to 37 miles so far!!

I can't believe how much I'm getting into the plank challenge! 13 days ago when I started, I could barely hold it for 20-25 seconds. Today I managed 90 seconds!!!! The continual & rapid improvement I can see over just a couple of days is very motivating to me. The other day I saw a 16 year old girl I know & I mentioned planking to her. She immediately challenged me to a plank-off....and I beat her!! I ain't even gonna pretend to feel bad about it, either! B)

gamegirl,

I specifically remember you saying if you were in pain, you were going to take it easy. If you don't make 60, it's not the end of the world. You're not going to turn into a pumpking or something horrible. I'd rather you do what you can and not hurt yourself. If you hurt yourself, you'll be out even longer.

Exercise hard when you are up to it. Listen to your body. There are many tomorrows. If you go the full 60, you have 38.25 miles to complete with 17 days left as of the 14th. You will need to average 2 1/4 miles a day. I did the math for you this time. I think you have done enough math for others in your other post. :-)

Hah! Thank you. You made me smile, and feel cared for this morning. I feel hugged! You're right, I did say that didn't i? Hoist by my own petard! Who knew someone would actually read my posts? :D

This has always been my problem in the past. I overdo if, then I hurt so I can't do anything at all, and then when I can...you guessed it, I over do it. Maybe I should try something different this time....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
