I am not that far out but I can say that maybe if you go back to doing what you started doing when you were losing. I know that with any weight loss there will be times when you will gain and then lose it without doing a thing. When I was doing weight watchers I would gain one week and lose the next doing the exact same things. So, dont give up and it working it will be ok my sleeve sister. :)

your body is confused. It went inot starvation mode. Began to store and save fat and Water etc.. in order to survive. So when you begin to eat your body will keep that food storage in case it has a starvation episode again.

Honestly I would not worry about it. Feed your body! Make sure you up your calories a bit, lots of water and move you will get back on track. I know when I say up your calories sounds counter productive but it works. Give your body fuel!

you haven't really gained weight. when you fasted, you lost Water weight and now you've gained it back. just continue on your high protein/low carb diet and keep up your exercise and you will lose again real soon.

Your body is adjusting from fasting and starvation mode. It will all balance back out so try not to worry. If you stick with your plan it will work :-)

When you fast, your metabolism slows down to conserve energy. It's normal for your appetite to be depressed now, but it may really start kicking in once you start eating. I wonder if your mood is being affected too. Keep in mind that this is only temporary, and when your appetite comes back, stay on track. Every one is unique, and the way your body now deals with fasting may be different. Perhaps a consult with your nutritionist would be in order to help you deal with this. This is a learning opportunity, not a failure.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
