hola peeps! I'm 35 yrs young. from Idaho. anyone else from the western states? I have my seminar today. ready to soak up information. I was set in the lapband 100% but after reading so many horror stories of it, I have revised my decision to the sleeve.

Welcome! I'm in the early stages of my journey, too, and was also determined to get the Lap Band--until I read the research and met with my surgeon who said he does more revisions from Lap Band than the band itself these days due to poor results. I have since read several books (including The Big Book of VSG) and now know that VSG is the one for me. :)

So far I have met with the surgeon and am in the 3rd month of a 6 month / 7 visit medically supervised weight loss program. Next up is the psychological evaluation.

that is awesome. I'm so nervous. but excited for the life change that lies ahead. ALL the women in my family are heavy. (father's side). as much I love my aunts and cousins to the moon and back, I do not want to end up like that. I am feeling that I'm practically there at 5'2 and weighing 235. and that makes me the petite one. haven't told any family members yet. my number one supporter is my mother. she wants to come with me to the seminar but unfortunately she works.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
