Anyone getting banded in Nov?

I recently got approved and surgery is scheduled on November 4th in Chicago! I'd love to talk to and meet others who are getting or have been recently banded. I'm 23 and living in the Chicagoland area. I'd really love to talk to all of you and track our progress together!

You ladies (and gentleman) are all so inspirational and I couldn't be more thrilled to be going through this with you guys. I just wanted to say thank you for all the support!

Hi! I am in the Louisville area.

Where at in ky?

Hi! I am in the Louisville area.

I'm in somerset!!

New Hampshire here! Getting nippy -- had our first real frost last night.

Day six of pre-op diet. Feeling clear and focused. Just got another canister of protein powder. The pea protein is amazing -- 26 grams protein for only 160 calories. Olympian Labs Lean & Healthy from Vitamin Shoppe. It's also less sweet than the other pea protein I've been using (Thorne Mediclear).

Happy weekend everyone!

Im in St.louis area if any of our nov buddies are near me or going to the weightloss surgical center in overland park kansas let me know.

Got items today for my pre-op fast. Hard to find ice pops that aren't red or purple LOL

That is my surgery date too!!! I am glad I am not the only one who is doing this so close to Thanksgiving!! I will be praying for you!!! I go next Tuesday for my info with my nuritionist. I only have to be on a 2 week 'diet'. I am also the cook of the house--- but we are 'modifing' (my favorite word) that---

Congratulations! My surgery is November 21st.

I have my surgery Nov 22nd, but I have to start my 4 week pre op diet tomorrow and I'm so very nervous, 4 weeks with no food will be very tough. Especially when you are the cook of the house.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. Mine is November 21st. Good Luck!

Hello!

I just got my surgery date this past Friday.....NOVEMBER 21st. Woohoo Im in Morris, Illinois.....bout an hour southwest of Chicago.

We will have the same bandiversarry!!! I am November 21st as well. Good Luck!!!!

I am scheduled to meet with my surgeon on Nov. 7th. I was told that this appt. would begin at 7:00 a.m. and will last until approximately 1:00 pm. I have been cleared for surgery and told that I should be scheduled for Nov. 21st. I am so anxious! I began this process in May. I have been reading forums on this site, and have realized that the pre-operative steps before surgery vary greatly. From what I understand, I only have to be on an Opti-Fast liquid diet for one week. I guess I will get all instructions at my visit with the surgeon, but I don't know anyone personally who has had the surgery where I am going so I am not getting any advance information. I have only told a few close friends (and my immediate family) about this at this time. I figure after I have lost weight and people ask questions, then I will tell about it. Until then, I don't want to hear anything negative about my decision. I would love to join this website and hear all about everyone's experiences.

I just started a group for November 2013 Bandsters and invited all of you to join. I have been on Lap Band Talk for quite a while and never wrote a thing but today I want to get the ball rolling because I am going to turn to this forum for support - I have been watching from the sidelines on this site for a while but I am going into the game!

Could I join? Getting banded hopefully on Nov. 21st.
