Omgosh how funny is that!! I start mine on Thursday and then my surgery is on the 22nd!!! 17 days girls!! 17 days til I stand up on the bench and shout "I'm herrrrree!!!" I'm so happy we are all connecting. Makes it SO much easier for me to get through all of this with you!! And I know I said it before but the 22nd is also my 30th bday! It will be my birthdaysurgiversary each year then!!

Hi Linds! I feel the same way so fortunate to have everyone here to talk to and understand what I am feeling. I meant to say that in my last post that I totally agree with you on all of us connecting. Almost there! ????

When the lady at my surgeons office said that I laughed and was like that's my birthday! Put me down for that date! I know some people wouldn't but I wouldn't have it on any other day if given the choice!

Your husband and you will have to race for weight loss now! But, that is fantastic that you guys will have one another for support. No better way to recover!

It was much better than I thought until I got home and my husband ordered pizza. I ate an apple with Peanut Butter and had a cup of tea. I'm still kinda irritated. He forgot so I'll give him a pass...this time.

I started my diet today. Not liquid - I have 14 days of high Protein, low carbs. Had 3 eggs and 1oz mozzarella cheese for Breakfast. Then I started thinking about lunch right after. Lol - yeah, I'm definitely fat!! Lol. Good luck to all that have their surgery today. How is everyone doing with their pre-op diet??

Kristie - thank you for adding my name to the calendar. That's awesome to see who has surgery when so we can wish them well! I think I'm on there for the 21rst but my surgery is really the 22nd!!! Oh how I wish it was a day sooner!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
