Hello :-) names Katrina. I'm 22 years old. I finally got my surgery date for gastric bypass! It's been a long 6 months but well worth it because I learned a lot about myself, my body and the way food is (par say) I have lost 25 pounds so far! I want to lose another 10 before surgery but its hard!!! I'm here if anyone needs support! Heck I sure do!! :)

Have a wonderful day everyone! <3

You're right, I've seen Alot if older people getting it done. But I searched on YouTube and there's a lot younger people than you think. Good luck!!!

Hey! I'm 21, I had my surgery in April, I'm down 92lbs.

Learning your new body is a crazy roller coaster adventure, and you needs support, Feel free to message me, either of y'all, for advice, or just someone to chat with. :)

Hi there! I'm 22 & I am 8 months post op & I was nervous as heck getting my surgery, and if you need any tips or advice I can try to help you out! Keyword try ;)

I'm 24 and haven't gotten a date yet (waiting for approval) but hoping that I'll hear something soon! I feel like people in their 20s may be getting this procedure but aren't really utilizing this forum.

Still is nice to have a network of people in your age range who can understand what you're going through!

I totally agree! But hey it's all good, and yeah it's nice to know that there are other 20yr olds who know exactly what we are going through :)

Did u lose weight the 1st week post-op because I gained a pound, I wondering did I do anything wrong

My name is Stephanie. I'm 22 and from Bakersfield CA. I am 3 weeks almost 4 post op. I've been looking for a buddy too. I'm only a few steps ahead of you so hopefully I can offer some advice and support for you as you begin your journey.

If your referring to me; I've been eating very little meals.. about 3 times a day. A lot of water!! And I do cardio first (treadmill, stairs etc. ) and then I work on my arms (so I don't get excess skin) lol and then I do leg lift and last the elliptical! :-)

I am too old to be on here I guess..lol

BUT I am 36 and I feel like I am 21 again..does that count ?

I think the doctors should approve this WLS for all the young ones !!

I would have done anything to have had this opportunity 10 years sooner !!

How soon can you start working out? I am having my surgery on Monday and am ready to start toning as soon as I can! I am 27 and my highest weight was 299lbs. I am currently at 245lbs. I have already experienced having saggy arms and I am terrified that they will get worse. I love to wear tank tops!
