@vicki yea i just realized they are carbonate. But my doctor gave me a list of supplements and that was on there as an option even my nutritionist told me to get it. Thats so weird. Its all a huge mess at my doctors and nutritionist. Even then Flinstones complete gummies mu nutritionist has the same bottle but hers has Iron in it and mine doesnt.

I take a bariatric chewable made by procare...you can order it online...it doesn't taste great, but its one a day...and that's all I have to take other than calcium citrate because the Vitamin had everything else I need in it...and the best part is, its only $10/bottle!

Does anyone have a list of the Vitamin supplements we do need? I have not gotten this info yet from my doc.

So I know we're not supposed to take a multi Vitamin within two hours of taking the Calcium but what about taking back to back calcium? Or back to back Multi Vitamins? Is it still the two hours or is it longer. I goofed today and took my calciums 2 hours apart. Also I've been taking a sublingual Biotin. Any time restrictions with that?

Where did you find sublingual biotin??

Walmart. I actually stopped taking then cause they were huge and took forever to dissolve. Now I take 10000 mcg Biotin pill. I figure even if I don't absorb the whole thing I'm still getting a ton of biotin. My nails look great but my hair is still coming out. =(

I was told to space out my calcium because your body can only process so much at a time. Too much at once just passes through and is a waste. :-)

I take mine mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and evening two hours after my multi.

I thought there was a reason why I was alternating my calcium and multi Vitamin. I just couldn't remember for the life if me.

I take a multi and Calcium every morning, then another round of that at lunch time, mid afternoon I take my last calcium. I take the multi with the calcium the first 2 times- my multi doesn't have Iron in it so it won't interfere with the calcium. I take Iron separately at bedtime every night. I've tried so many kinds of Vitamins and this is what is working for me. I wasted so much money trying different kinds and most of them were so horrible. I use Calcet Creamy Bites for calcium- they are a bit pricey but I know I can take them and be happy about it. I take Celebrate multi soft chews - order Creamy Bites from them too. Iron is a small pill I got from Walmart that I just swallow. My doc said pills are fine if they are smaller than an m&m. I do a monthly injection of b12- family member gives it to me since my doc just wrote a prescription for it.

Just have to keep experimenting until you find a routine that you can work with.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
