Paige I have to be there at 5am! Surgery buddies! I'll be thinking if you!

I'm starting to get nervous!

My surgery went very well. My only pain I have is from when they had to repair a hernia. The minute I got upstairs to my room I wanted to go walking

That's good. I think I was the first to ask to start walking before I got into the hospital room

Yeah me too!

They kept telling me I can't go until anteshia to wear off. I took my first walk at 4:30 pm and went to the carpet by the clinic and down to the nurses desk. At 7:30 pm I went down by the delivery room, and went into the clinic hallway back to my room, and the staff are surprised how well I can move around so well without help

I just finished my 3rd walk, she let me go by myself. It does help with gas if you have some. I feel like I'm about to burp but it won't come up lol. They told me to let them know when I pass gas (tmi) and my catheter is getting taken out in 30 minutes

Had surgery last Wednesday, home Thursday and took it rather easy until Sunday evening. Stopped pain meds that day. Monday went grocery shopping, to the pharmacy, then took the dog to the vet. Been doing laundry. Trying to get all my Protein in, so mixing with my 64 oz of Fluid. Eating Cream of Wheat, cream Soups, plus sf pops and Jello and tomorrow get to move it up a step in the food chain, I think. Would have to read the instructions. Just doing well trying to get in all the fluids with the protein. Good news losing a pound a day since Friday. That is where I am in my weight loss journey.

Thanks. Trying not to overdo it, should have actually gone back to work yesterday. Hard for me to stay down at home, I'm safer at work. There I sit and answer incoming calls and deal with sick people. Don't get in as much trouble there.

Surgery was 8/26. I've lost 17lbs since, but have been stalled for the past 10 days or so while my body adjusts to all the changes. Can't wait to start seeing the pounds drop again. I've had no complications and am healing very well, so I really shouldn't complain.

I'm 5' tall and I weighed 233 lbs the first time I saw my surgeon. I lost 12 pounds pre-op. Surgery was May 30, surgery weight 221, current weight 167 (54 lb lost). Total weight loss pre-op and post-op is 66 lbs. I went from tight-fitting sz22 to a comfortable sz16. I'll be happy to lose 25 more pounds - anything more than that is just frosting on the cake!

I am happy as hell! Back pain, knee pain GONE! :-) :-) :-)

I'm 1 year out down to 133 3 lbs until goal. Started at 225. I feel and look great. Finally realized I'm not the fat girl anymore just a few weeks ago :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
