Hey Nhnurse congrats on your Weightloss I will be having surgery soon I'm a nurse on a Busy floor how long were you off work before you went back

My surgeon required that I take 6 weeks off because of the lifting requirements in my job description. I think it was a good thing. For the first four weeks I was still a little sore if I overdid it and would occasionally need a nap. So the time off was wonderful. Good luck!

My weight loss is extremely slow. In 5 wks I have lost only 15 lbs and already experienced 2 stalls. I understand why: I was 199 on day of surgery. I cannot drink shakes so getting my Protein in has been near to impossible. I'm allergic to whey & the vegan shakes are gross PLUS expensive. Right now I'm trying to get eggs, chicken, and turkey in me but I'm not even close to the required amount.

So I'm averaging 2-3 lbs/wk. my calories have been 300-400 which prior to surgery, I'd say is very unhealthy for me. I am taking my Vitamins though.

Cherry, I would seriously consider upping your calorie intake.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
