I am 4 weeks out and I still can't do 64 in. I had to go to ER and get IV fluids last week. It is just so hard. But' date=' I am really starting to feel better. Keep your head up and stay positive.[/quote']

Thank you and that is my goal and try and stay out of the hospital. What made you say, ok I need to go get an Iv?

I felt very lethargic and dizzy. Went to my surgeon and they sent me to ER to get fluids.

That is what I did today...No Bueno (Dislike) Trip to the Er and Iv was put in. I really hope I can get more fluids in me now! Staying Hydrated is important!

Aww no bueno! Hope you guys are feeling better. I slacked a little today with the fluids but ate an little more. It was bad, I blended 2 spoonfuls of my spouse's beef burrito. I couldn't take it anymore, needed something other than Soup. Ugh, will probably pay for it later.

Home now and feeling so much better....and you blended it! How did that taste? I got to eat egg drop soup from a chinese restaurant and it went down fine. Thank goodness!

It wasn't bad, it was better than cream Soup. LOL! I have been really creative trying to get Protein into the cream Soups because I want to make sure that I am hitting my quota and I am sick of Protein shakes.

Happily, the burrito (filling only that I blended) was fine, did not have any reaction to it at all. AWESOME! I feel so much better today than I have been, I finally feel like I am healing.

I literally am going through the same thing. All I've been drinking is Water and probably only a bottle a day. I just know my stomach can't tolerate anything other than that. My doc said that was common so soon after surgery since your stomach is still pretty swollen

During an Oz Every 10 min when you are up else you will end up in er with dehydration in about 4 days. Really hard to deal with after surgery.

OH NO!!!! I am so glad you got to the hospital and got the IV though!!

How are you feeling today?

I am 1wk post op and have been doing amazing until last night - just was really nauseous and did everything to avoid throwing up - eventually landed in a cool shower at 2am. I dont know why that happened out of nowhere.

Otherwise, I am getting 64oz in me no problem. Can't wait to be able to eat some new things next week.

I know dehydration is not fun. I am glad you got the IV and I know I felt much better after having a bag of Fluid. I try so hard but can't get in more than 50 oz. That is including my Protein Shake for Breakfast. Frustrating but I will continue pushing on and I know it will get better and time is my friend It is so nice to be able to talk to others that are going through what you are going through.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
