Water, Water, Water

Ok so I am 8 days post op and all I feel I am doing is drinking water. I know we have to drink 64oz a day and I probably could do that but get too darn full so fast....I can only get one full water bottle in a day as of right now. And don't feel like eating because I'm full of water. Anybody going through the same thing?

Eating? We're supposed to be eating? LOL

Actually, I can do more than 64 oz of water which kind of worries me. I am not really thirsty but do it because we are supposed to. My 1st follow up is Friday - I cannot wait.

Shoot, I can do about 40oz water and then a protein shake and some SF jello, and a few bites of creamy soup a day. I cannot possibly eat/drink anything else. I was told to take on another protein shake and I have NO CLUE how that is going to happen. And after the vitamins... holy cow!

Well ladies then I am slacking... Cause I swear all I am getting in is one bottle of water and maybe one or two popsicles a day! And after that I feel like its up too my throat.

I know it is tough, but I try to just keep drinking and then peeing. It seems to be really repetitive but that is the only way I could get it to work. After a couple days, it was a lot easier.

I literally am going through the same thing. All I've been drinking is water and probably only a bottle a day. I just know my stomach can't tolerate anything other than that. My doc said that was common so soon after surgery since your stomach is still pretty swollen

Well I can get my three protien shakes in and thats it

I was told 48oz is fine by my surgeon.

Good luck

Remember if you are taking in yogurt, pudding, jello soup those are all liquids too that can be counted toward your days goal... In the beginning you won't get it all in. In time it gets much better.

I am 4 weeks out and I still can't do 64 in. I had to go to ER and get IV fluids last week. It is just so hard. But, I am really starting to feel better. Keep your head up and stay positive.
