I would move in an instant if not for my husband...change is not his thing. I've kind of adopted San Diego as my second home, and I keep checking their weather....sigh So expensive to buy a house there, though. 67 and sunny there today...snow and - 2 here. Maybe I'll live on the beach.

I hate heat and my husband hates cold. I suggested that he get a place in the south and I'll get a place in the north. Then we'll visit each other. Lol

71...you're in for a rude awakening, I fear. A high of 6 on Wednesday...that's the HIGH... Crazy place to live.

We just came back from seeing my god child and it was 69 and nasty sticky out. I see all the coverage on the news and know it's just a matter of time and I'm gonna be dealing with it up there.

On a side note...have I told y'all my new "addiction"? Raw cranberries. It's a sweet and sour kinda crunch that is truly helping me get past my urge to snack. Good Fiber and limited sugars so..I'm loving it.

Only -16 here in WI with the wind chill! ;) -32 sounds awful! I'm glad my overheating is done with. I can't get warm enough. Hang in there!

Me too! I am always cold now. I've never had that experience before. One of my friends told me today, welcome to the other side! See what skinny girls have to deal with, we're always cold! I've never considered myself "skinny" EVER!!!!! What a journey!

If being cold is a skinny thing I'm in for a rude awakening, I'm pre op but I'm always cold! As soon as it hits 60 degrees my skin is stinging. This time of year I don't dare go outside without three sweaters on, a scarf, gloves, and a hat.

Just ate chips yesterday..I was at a class, and all Snacks were unhealthy; usually I eat peanuts, but they were out. So, chips. Say, how many calories are you guys getting now? I'm still at 700-950 a day.Do you crave carbs ( like fruit) when you feel weak? I just can't seem to get in more calories...just measure, but can't physically eat all if it. Still doing Protein Shakes, and taking Vitamins.< /p>

Raw cranberries? Aren't they incredibly tart? I never tried them plain... I'll have to give them a try. I love cranberries and still have some from the cranberry festival we went to in October. :-)

I was going to try making homemade cranberry applesauce w/splenda for a holiday treat I can enjoy.

I'm pretty much where you're at for total calories per day. I measure all my food- sometimes I finish it, sometimes not. I have at least one Protein Shake daily but sometimes I have another if I'm short on Protein. I never crave fruit but my husband does. He says with him low blood sugar triggers it.

Woke up to ice coated everything and we're supposed to get 2-4 inches of snow, too. I was going to attempt going out today (haven't been out since gallbladder removal last Friday) but I think I'll give it one more day. It's a good day to bake - I think I'll make some banana bread and/or Cookies. My neighbor lost his wife last year and I haven't made him anything in a while. He is getting goodies today! :-)

I'm anywhere from 800-1200. My fitness pal has my goal at 1200 a day. It varies a lot. The last few days with being sick and then also PMS I got a lot more calories in wanting comfort food. It really varies with me. I've also been curious with how many calories y'all get and also how much y'all are consuming at a time.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
