I am not having a great day. Everything tastes bad. I have a horrible taste in my mouth that I can't get rid of. I just have no desire to put anything else in my mouth. I am a little down as i had my surgery Monday and am only down 2 lbs since morning of surgery. I am achey and sore and just not feeling this today.

SW 222 HW 229 CW 220 surgery date 4/22/13

I've been the same today...we had surgery the same day. My mom hung out with me today and said she has always felt day 5 after any surgery is bad. She said this when I had a non-related surgery a couple years ago and when my brother went through multiple surgeries. Seems there is some truth to this. Hang in there.

Fair day. Was nice so spent some time out in the fresh air, which felt good. Had some nauseau today and some pretty bad left side pain now as evening comes. I think when that pain goes away, things will be a lot better. I need to remember I had major surgery ONLY 5 days ago, and give myself time to heal! Just wanna lay down to get rid of the pain!

When you all are mentioning how much you have lost since surgery are you going off of the higher weight from the additional added from surgery or the before surgery weight?

Im going from the what they weighed me at in the hospital right before surgery .....ive lost 16lbs since then but the 2 days before surgery i lost 2 lbs so total from my highest weight is 18lbs.....as far as bloating i still feel bloated my bra that i wore to the hospital still doesnt fit and that was my biggest one so ive been wearing a tight tank top under my shirt when i do go out ....so idk when it all goes away lol i would think even with 16lbs things would be looser but not so much for me lol

Hi everyone. We MUST remember that there is a good chane that soon after surgery you may or will gain or stay same weight. Due to the amount of fluids given.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
