Hi Jer-Z Girl,

It will get better by the 3rd day. Hold On! I've switched over to the Bariatric Advantage Protein shakes and I must say they are MUCH better than the Premier Protein Shakes I got from costco. When I say 'Better', I mean in keeping me satisfied. I made the Bariatric Advantage shakes with my Magic Bullet and the portable shaker and they were great either way. I have a shake or Bariatric Advantage pre-packaged snack every 2-3 hrs along with plenty of Water, and I am good. My surgeon recommended 80oz of Water per day, but I'm targeting 96 oz (3 32oz bottles) per day.

Hang in there - You can do it!

Oh dear!!! Have you tried drinking the muscle milk? its got the same thing as the bariatric Protein Drinks but taste 100x's better!!! My only advice is to constantly remind yourself why you are doing this. it will pass but no doubt is it the hardest thing to do. I can assure you, it is SO worth it. Good luck

Thank you all for your advise. I will keep moving along as planned. To keep myself motivated, I go to the "Before and After" pictures so I can become inspired again.

Another thing I did was measurements.. I took them all over writing them down. So far I've lost 22 1/2 inches from all over my body- I didn't notice weight dropping but the numbers do not lie! Also, my nut said I could have egg drop Soup strained yummo :) ask your nut for advice.. Mine also said add in an extra Protein if needed. Hubby mixes powered whey with ice n a little Water it taste like a shake :) ps 1 to 2 pounds a day rolling off and I'm going in for surgery on 3/27 so close

Great job!! Popsicle brand has a sugar free tropical that's out of this world when it comes to flavor! Also Powerade zero- for that "other" taste u crave

Woo Hoo! I got on the scale this morning and I am 10lbs down. Still not happy not chewing but happy about the weight loss. I guess I will eat another popsicle. Thanks everyone.

Ok how many grams of Protein is it in the Bariatric Advantage? I brought the Premier ones from Sam's Club. I'll have to try those.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
