I got approved today. This morning they fax my papers from dr office to TRICARE and I just received the call with the good news. I schedule for Friday March 1st for my band removed and maybe the same day I'll have RNY, I hope he can do it both in the same time.

Do you have TriWest North? Did you have to "prove" to Tricare that you were following a supervised diet? I'm a little bit different than you as I had the band removed last year, and now I've put in for an RNY to be done in March 2013. My MD's office is submitting the paperwork today without the Nut as I don't have "6" months worth of visits. Your situation might be different due to the fact you don't have your band out yet.

I have TRICARE STANDARD NORTH. My band was removed on Friday because my port was infected, now I have an open incision so I have to wait to heal, I feel so different, I have a lot of energy, no pain but its weird. I feel like i have a hole in my stomage, and I surprised that When i eat I feel full fast. I'm happy for that. A nurse will come to my house every day to take care of that. After my incision heal I can schedule my RNY, can't wait!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
