Hi,

Do you make your Protein Shake from scratch or add the PB2 to a pre-made Protein shake? I have some pb2 and wasn't sure what to add it to. I am having a difficult time getting in my protein, can't eat meat yet(7 wks. post op) or it makes me gag, so I'm getting my protein only through some Peanut Butter on a few crackers, and recently a cheesestick or two.

Can you eat yogurt or cottage cheese? That's how I got most of my protein early on. Most definitely eating a mostly carb diet will affect your loss. We need some carbs for energy and to help with the weight loss, but protein is very important in the healing process. Have you tried several shakes to Se if you can do any? I use Optimum Nutrition shakes. They have ZERO protein taste and are so good. I order from Amazon but GNC carries them too although more expensive. Keep searching for things you can get in cuz it's important. Good luck. If you need any help just ask! ;)

tuna snackit 17grs of protein! It's pretty good and an easy way to meet Protein goals!

I've seen this or something like it. It sounds like a great portable meal. I wish I could tolerate tuna. It makes me sick every time. :-(

You use the dry ranch mix. 1 oz. dry ranch mix plus 1-16oz container of mushrooms. It says use 1 stick of butter. Melt butter add ranch to butter stir well. Poor over mushrooms cook on low in crock pot 4 hrs. I usually triple the recipe, but only add 2 sticks of butter... They cook down and are delicious!!!

Just wondering. Do you cook broccoli in the crockpot with the mushrooms? You didn't mention broccoli in the recipe above.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
