What yogurts are you all eating? They all seem to have so much sugar and/or carbs and I dump. I've been thinking about it with granola since Dorian's post! :-)

Try chobani 100. They are sweetened with Monk Fruit and stevia, both natural zero calorie sweeteners. I love the pineapple with a sprinkle of sliced almonds and a bit of shredded coconut. Absolutely wonderful.

Super Bowl party at the Inlaws boiled shrimp, lots of celery, green olives, black olives. I did have some tortilla chips with my homemade salsa I made. But mostly ate the shrimp and celery it was so good.

This one is my favorite too. I add a little Bear Naked Protein Granola for some crunch w/protein boost. :-)

Dorian, I have some good coupons for the granola but can't for the life of me remember where I bought it! Not Stop&Shop, not the local family-owned market, not Wallyworld... I checked all of those this weekend. Maybe Target? It's driving me nuts! And I'm almost out of it!

Try it mixed with Dannon Greek light & fit key lime... Amazing! :-)

I got mine at a store called Woodmans. It was even cheaper than walmart! I will have to look online for some coupons. I know Walmart has the other Protein One I used to eat by the same maker but not this new one yet. I will have to try the key lime as soon as I find it! Our stores don't have the new flavors yet and I can't see driving 45 minutes just for yogurt every time I'm out! :( then again, since it's what I eat the most of, maybe it is worth it!! I go to the dr next week in Madison, and will stock up then!

I never heard of Woodmans so it must be a regional thing. I found the Key Lime yogurt at Stop&Shop - do you have those? Probably any large chain grocery store would have it. It is good. I'm going to check Target for the Protein granola this week. It's the only other store I shop at that I haven't checked. If I have to I'll try Amazon. It's very good - at this point I don't care about the cost, I just want it!

We got snow again today. More again on Wednesday... and again on Sunday. This is getting old! Lol

They don't have the 10 gr.of Protein One on amazon! I've already checked so I wouldn't have to drive 45 minutes for it!! ;). If you can't find it let me know. Going that way on the 13th and would be happy to pick u up some and send it!! Let me know.

I found the bear naked granola you posted at target today. As well as your yogurt. I bought the cherry chocolate flavor. I plan for it to be my evening snack to deal with the snackiness I'm battling. Thanks for the recommendation.

I dump on those. :(

Dannon light and fit for me. Unfortunately chobani makes me dump and it was my go to before surgery.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!
