Jane~ Your post made me laugh. Going in a couple hours to get fill and first support group. 100 in a week...could you imagine?

I'll post more tonight!

TracyinKS - not a queen yet... at the end of the month when I don't have to force myself to go I will be. LOL, at this point just tired of looking at myself

TracyK - I tried the Fiber sure today, no taste, I put it in a turkey burger at lunch and my 1/2 cup of sugar free icecream and no taste at all. I hope it works,

Everyone is doing fantastic, and it seems like we are all getting motivated this month. It has all been such a big adjustment, so now that I know what I need to do.... I'm doing it. LOL

sooooooo sad

I just had my first salad, which was so good, buti put a pepperchini in it, cut up very small and it didn't work so well. They are one of my favorite things ever! I guess no more for me. how ironic, my daughter just tried one tonight and she loves them... I've been trying to have her try one for years.

They are hot peppers, they come whole with stems and are a funky light color green, not too spicey, but you know you are eating them. I have texture issues so i like them, they kind of crunch. Usually found in antipasta salads with italian meat.< /p>

that is ok, I love italian cooking, my bff since I was 3 is italian and I learned a lot...LOL

Whew.. what a day. Grandson Ethan was here all day and I took him out in his stroller. I walked for 45 minutes with him. Took my Crystal Light lemonade along with me and finished it 15 minutes before we got home so I was ready for lunch. I'm feeling no restriction at all, but kept to my portions. For lunch and supper I had the "un"sandwich, one with turkey and one with tuna.. all rolled up in a lettuce leave. I had to pace myself cause I could have eaten it up in 10 minutes. DH wanted to go out for Soup tonight so we went to Culvers and he ordered the cream of broccoli soup. I ate all the mushy broccoli for him and he got the liquid. I had 3 spoonfuls of his small chocolate shake. He saved half of it in the freezer for another day. Tonight I'll have my yogurt with fiber sure for my evening snack.

I just finished preparing a new flower bed. Tomorrow I'll finish laying the black liner and the mulching. Then it's on to the other new flower bed I made this summer. Today was 89 degrees here in northern Michigan. My swimming pool might be heated up enough to swim in again if it doesn't get real cool again. We had lots of strong wind here today too. The power went out several times and finally stayed out for about an hour. The cable and internet were down almost 2 hours.

Everyone have a great evening and remember to follow those bandster rules!!:cheer2:

I'm addicted to Crystal Light fruit Punch. Has anyone else tried it? I used to only buy the lemonade until a friend begged me to try her fruit punch. Now there's no turning back. lol

Good evening Violets!

MsJen: Good to see you around again!

Jane: WE WISH!!!!!!!

Judy: You are rocking and rolling this season!

TracyK: So what your saying is that you have AWESOME legs and a tiny butt! Whooooooooooohooooooooooooo!

Me.... I carry weight ALLLLLLLLL over.. balanced I guess... but I swear it would be nice if so much of it didn't rest in my BatWings! the only way I'll ever be comfortable in tank tops is to have surgery.. (even WITH the scar it would be better than the massive amount of skin I'm sure to have)

I definately have some restriction..... tonight I ate a grilled cheeseburger.. it tasted SOOOOOOOO good, but I got full before my WANT for the taste subsided...

The way I explained it to dbf is ... my stomach is full, but right back here (pointing to the back of my cheek) I still had a taste tingle that wanted more.. Does this sound even remotely familiar to aNYONE.. or am I just a freak?... ok.. maybe.. don't answer that one........... :)

I knew that if I ate one more bite, I would pb it.... I even went so far as taking another bite before I put all the leftovers in the fridge and I KNEW that if I swallowed it.. I would be a gonner........ so I spit it out..... I did wait ONE hour to have a drink of tea... and overall I am proud of myself.

In the old days I would of had 2 burgers w/bun, the Beans, the chips, and the icecream w/brownie.......... but I didn't... I had 1 1/3 burger and 1.5 tablespoon of baked beans.... YAY ME!

"Yea me" is right, Tracy!! Good job on handling the burger.:clap2::clap2:

I used to be a CL Classic Orange drinker exclusively, but now it's the Lemonade. I put my bottle in the freezer when I'm eating a meal and after an hour it's icy cold. It's a 33.8 oz bottle so it doesn't freeze solid! But it's soooooooooo good when it's that cold!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
