I am in Illinois, but not the IV area. I am in Aurora and scheduled to have surgery on 1/21/13!

Cool...where are you having the surgery done? I'm going through OSF in Peoria. I work at one of their hospitals.

I am having mine done at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. They have a wonderful bariatric center there.

I will be having my gastric bypass in Peoria on February 14th

Carrie

February 7th in Peoria for me...who's your doc?

Dr. Rossi is my surgeon. Who is doing your surgery? I am always looking for people to talk to about this. Maybe we could be a support to one another. I see that you are a counselor. I am a psychiatric nurse at the VA, and am a single Mom.

How are you doing?

Hi Krysta! How are you doing? How's your mom and sister? I got my date right before the December meeting and it was a sales pitch for vitamins, January's meeting was cancelled so I didn't get to announce it.

I go in February 7! So I won't be to the meeting until March.

I am from the IV area and am waiting for my insurance to get approved. I had my bod pod about 2 weeks ago. I'm also getting my surgery done through OSF in Peoria what has been your experience? I haven't even meet with the surgeon yet so I'm very new at this whole process.

I had a really good experience. I had my surgery February 7th and have lost 39 lbs.. No major complications. Have you been to the support groups yet?

I am in Aurora also and went to Good Samaritan in Downers Grove on March 6th. Had a great experience there :)

No, I haven't been to a support group, but as soon as they call me and let me know my insurance approved the surgery I'm going to go.
