Nauseated On Protein

Does Protein make anyone else nauseated. I can't eat but two bites of chicken before I want to barf. Beef is ok as well as eggs. The only Protein shake that I can stomach is the pure protein cans. But at 4 bucks a can that is expensive.

Is this normal and will it go away.

you can get 12 oz cans of pure protein a 4 pack at walmart for 7.88. I get very nauseated drinking my protein shakes. i ad one surgar free coffee creamer and it helps

The smell of protein shakes make me extremely sick! Hate meat so struggling daily to get in protein :(

Haven't tried the pure protein shakes....willing to try anything at this point! SD 10-2-12

I can't do chicken either--beef and eggs are my staples. I do love "Oh Yeah" protein shakes--8 oz and 18 proteins

Try isopure from GNC. For me it's the easiest to get down and it 40g of protein per bottle and each bottle is 20 0z of fluid. Plus comes in different flavors.

I couldn't handle the protein drinks either. I've been trying to get my protein in with meat, but yesterday I found GNC Total Lean Lean Shakes they have 25 gr protein and they taste great and no nausea or vomiting. There lactose free. They come in powder and premade. I got the premade and they were on sale for 4/7.99. I would definetly check out GNC. Talk to someone who works there and I'm sure they will help you. I was going to get something else and after talking to the clerk he told me not to get the one I was going to get and to try the Lean Shakes. The shakes and the Quest protein bars are awesome.

right now even the total lean makes me sick. I have tried unflavored powder it tastes like fleishmans yeast. all the others are too sweet tasting right now to me. so I have been trying to eat more protein but it will not be enough since my doc requires me to have 80+ a day

I even bought a couple bottles of the grape frost isopure and those have a nasty taste. I know this is important but I don't know how to force myself to drink them

i am hoping this passes but I wasn't a big sweet eater to begin with and maybe that is why I can't stand these protein shakes that are way too sweet. I've even tried watering them down so to speak but no go. I get 3-4 ounces and can't do anymore. I'm just going to.have to try and eat my protein instead for now. sure wish they would invent a protein chewable pill lol

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am going to try some of the ideas that the RD gave me.
