Well I started lifting at work again (I own a fees store) I used to throw 50 and 100 lb bags around like rag dolls now after 4 or 5 50# bags I gotta sit for a minute... Haven't tried 100# yet... Still kinda cool to lift a 50# bag and think to myself wow... I've lost 30 more pounds than this weighs

That is soo awesome isn't it? To think that your body was carrying all that around? Wait till you lose 100! (If you have that much to lose, maybe you don't) I know I was blown away by a 25 pound bag of dog food. I've lost almost 2 of those and I was thinking "no wonder I didn't feel good and I had hbp, etc." Eye opener! :)

I thought ppl thought the sleeve was a better route to go and not as restricted as the RNY . Hope it is better for you.

If by less restrictive you mean no dumping and you can still eat anything then yes if is. I lost 75lb gained back only 15lb, but my old habits returned.

Mostly due to diet my blood sugars started climbing again.

Since self-control isn't my strong suit I choose to make make bad things occur if I make bad food choices. So, for me, more restrictive was the exact reason.

quick question... I will be starting my stage 4 diet sunday. and it's showing thinly sliced deli lean meats.. what can we use to go with it since we aren't supposed to have bread?

Maybe make little rolls with some cheese? Are you allowed cheese?

Can you have cheese? I buy the ultra thin sliced cheese and roll a piece of meat with the cheese and dip in mustard

not sure if I will be able to tolerate cheese. but I guess I will have to find out soon. thanks for the suggestion.

I was told no bread. I just ate the meat and cheese alone. I am allowed saltine crackers so you might could put some slices on those.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
