So my a@@hole ex told the lawyer he wouldn't sign paper to distribute n settle our estate. He said he wouldn't sign it due to the fact that he "will lose everything." Then what does he tell my lawyer today, she can have whatever she wants but I'm not signing???? Wth is his reasoning??? His Ho has him all F' up in the head. He needs serious help. So needless to say, I'm taking everything even the car he's driving, lol.

Totally off our topic but needed to vent, sry.

Hey' date=' looking over my food diary/notes, I was the exact same way a week post-op. My pouch seemed very sensitive to different textures and I could NOT take the taste or smell of any shakes at all, to the point of gagging. My nut told me to focus on fluids that didn't upset my stomach and not worry so much about getting all the Protein everyday. I think that week was the hardest for me. I tried everything! I seemed to eat a lot of yogurt then, so maybe try that for a few days? It really does get better I promise!! I think near the end of my second week I started to feel less "pukey". Lol. Hang in there!![/quote']

What types of yogurt? I am or was lactose intolerant so not sure what to get in. I do love the healthy choice frozen yogurt. But it has 17 carbs in it so i havent dare eat it. .

Well, I mix 1/2 plain Greek yogurt with 1/2 flavored (lowers the sugar level to acceptable limit), and eat off that a few times or I would just get light and fit and have that. Both of those would not be good for lactose intolerance though. I don't know of any yogurt that would. Maybe you could ask your Doc about taking Lactaid to see if that helps? You would prob have to crush it, but all the dairy products really saved me when it came to getting in any Protein or nutrients, so might be worth it.

I was also wondering what everyone's hunger has been like? I have noticed myself getting hungry after about the first 2 weeks post-op but today is my first day back at work and I had 1/2 c. cottage cheese for Breakfast at noon (work 2nd shift) and now I feel hungry again. I am a stress eater, so wondering if I am actually hungry or just stressed and experiencing head hunger from being here at work. Any thoughts?

It is normal. If you think about it we are to eat 3-4 meals with 2 Snacks a day and that is not including the Protein Shakes we are to drink on top of that so really should he about every 2-3 hours we are ingesting something

In the beginning while everyone was struggling, I could eat anything and was hungry without any full triggers. Had to measure so as not to overheat. In the past week, I have slowly developed sensations for fullness and I don't want much of anything and most things make me nauseated. Having to push to get in 40g-50g of Protein. The nausea isn't severe but just enough to make me feel bad and not want to eat or drink. I sure hope this passes soon. Anyone with tips to ease nausea?

I do drink far free lactaid milk and love it.

I will just use the Unjury chocolate flavors i mix it with either the lactaid milk or with bottled Water. Today is 7 day post op. but i still feel so freaking fatigue. My upper part is good but feels like my legs just cant hold me up for long. I do walk not alot. I drink 2 20 oz of water a day. 6 scoops of the unjury protien. In either milk or water, this is through the day. A Jello. Maybe a popsicle.

Hate not being able to get up and straighten up my house grrrr

Old Hippie it will get easier every day. You need to drink a bit more liquid, try to get 60 ounces in a day if you can, And rest when you need to. You have been through a bunch and your body is a bit ticked off at you right now, Everyday will get better, I promise.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
