  1. Wow,Jen. You have done great!!
  2. Haven't been on in a while but wanted to see how everyone was doing. Nicole, you look awesome and I'm so glad to see your progress. I haven't wanted to discourage anyone as my progress has not been as hoped and I just gave up. I stalled shortly after surgery and despite doing everything I was told by nut and dr, the scale has never changed. Finally a month or so ago I decided to eat what I wanted to see what would happen and still no change. I am certainly eating healthier-not gaining/not losing. Dr. Says everything seems fine. Bloodwork was normal except for a need for more iron. I have thought about trying the pre-op diet for a couple of weeks but haven't talked myself into it yet. Not sure it would do any good but I did lose preop. I'm not sure I would do this again as I am only 10 lbs less than I was with the band. The one positive is I'm not gaining and without the band(which had to come out) or bypass I would be gaining. Unfortunately, not enough weight loss to avoid diabetic meds which was a driving reason for doing it. That is most difficult part of all. I do enjoy hearing about your successes and your pics really do show the differences. Keep up your good work!

  11. You look great!
  12. I can eat the very thin 7 grain bread toasted with low fat cheese (cheese toast). I'm 3 months out. Haven't eaten it in a while but didn't bother me.
  13. Turkey chili for the first time.
  14. Ok girls, since I have just been hanging at the same weight I decided to try something a bit different to see if it would help. I decided to just drink liquids since I was going to be gone all day and then I had a big salad for dinner. Figured it couldn't hurt and I am really tired of eating period. Well, today I'm down 2 pounds. That's the biggest drop since before surgery. It may come back but I'm. Encouraged for today. Don't know if it just happened or something I did. I feel lighter today, too. Ohh, I hope it continues!
  15. Gen, after all u have been through, it is so good to hear you are still happy with your choice. Such a great attitude. My scale is still at the same place it has been for almost 2 months now. I'm still eating at 600 cals lwith a bit more a couple of times for a special occasion. I have done everything the nut has said but made no difference. Still wearing same size clothes so not having to worry about new ones. See dr in 2 weeks for blood work so maybe that will tell something. Otherwise, I think I am beyond this being a stall and may have to accept this as the status quo.
