OK I know this is not something to get all bothered about and I have already spoken with Lisa online and she said to not even count it but still I am up a .5 lb from the last weigh in. I now weigh 251.5 lbs. BUMMER!!!

I really wanna get under 250 before my birthday on Sept 5th. That would be the best present I can give myself.

Off to walk this morning.

8 oz Water so far.

I know how you feel Penni... we shall see the scale move in the downward direction!

I just did toning this morning and also moving everything around in the basement to make it more of a room dedicated to working out. It's really a nice bright and cool room. Now that I have everything arranged in there have to go back down and clean! I'm thinking that maybe I'll give my hubby a heart attack and make it a REALLY jazzed up place to work out. :)

Have a good day everyone!

Penni, drink BIG, pee lots. Hope you are back down in no time.

I started school today and my first thought when I entered the building was about the candy machine down the hall. I don't even use the thing, but I homed right in on it. I didn't go there, though. I guess it's first day nerves. :)

I weigned this morning and my new scale (which is 2 to 3 lbs. heavier than my old scale at this point) read 199. I am officially under the 200 mark! Yeah!! I've been counting it already, but I guess I'll take the new scale weight even though I lose a couple pounds of loss. Sigh.... So I'm putting away the old scale. Maybe tomorrow I will try to weigh myself less often. :D

Brought Water and should have no problem getting it in with 2 hours between classes. Even ate a good Breakfast. Hope everyone has a great day.

I've been keeping really busy and neglecting my posts, but I wanted to post my good deed for yesterday:

My husband has been bothered by his large belly lately (the rest of him is skinny) so last night I finished all the ice cream in the house. I tried getting rid of the bottle of fudge in the fridge but might have to do that in small increments. Now poor hubby doesn't have to eat it.

Ergo my 2 pound increase. D'OH!

I thaught I had gained 1 pound but I weighed again and its only a half of a pound so thats better. I weigh 209 and a half. Just 10 lbs before I am under 200. Yea...I am not really exercising I know that is bad. But my business is really picking up and I will be staying in alot of hotels where i find it difficult to exercise. EXCUSES EXCUSES... Well I really do plan on exercising some. Becky I weithed 248 whenI started and had my surgery one month brfore you and you have lost 10 more pounds than me so you are doing great. Lisa hang in there you are doing great also. Sometimes I am jealous of you because you do not have a port. I am nervous about mine and exercising.... Best wishes to all...Janie

O.K., gals, you're ALL doing awesome! In spite of different "Hardships" like ice cream, cheese, birthday parties, working, stress, you've hung in there and been accountable for one full week. Let's go for two!

This challenge has really helped me wake up. But I also realise that I'm probably not going to be able to get by on only three meals a day. I like my Snacks (sweets and cheese) too much! Sad, but true. This may slow me down, but I've decided that I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I'll allow myself a snack each day and ENJOY it. I'm exercising very regularly right now, but I know that I probably won't keep up that pace.

Darcy, you inspired me! (That and I tried on some clothes today and got a look at my gut!) Has anybody used an exercise (inflatable) ball? I bought one today and 2 dvds. One - "Abworkouts" to do w/the exercise ball and the second one (more appropriately) "Pilates Workout for Dummies".

My week beginning weight 195, today 191.

Wow Marie! Four lbs. this week! Your daily snack should bring that back to normal, so it sounds like a good plan.

I keep thinking I need to cut out Snacks, but so far it isn't hurting me. When it does, I'll reconsider.

Now exercise....no excuse for not doing that. I did walk up the big hill and the long stairs at school today. And I did it without stopping to huff and puff -- one long, slow climb. It's about half a mile and all steeply uphill. I parked in the boonies, too. So I guess I'll count that for today. :)

I nominate Marie as this week's winner of the challenge! I think I started this thread, yet I didn't even stick to my own challenge! But I did much, much better than last week so at least the challenge helped me. Today I didn't have my Protein Shake since I ate ice cream last night; lunch was 1/2 can Clam Chowder and 5 Ritz. Decaf with cream & sugar for b-fast; 2 quarts of Water.

It's been many moons since I've lost a few pounds at a time. I've lost about 3 pounds this month and hope to lose at least one more. If I could lose 4 pounds a month, that's 48 a year, which would make me rock star skinny in 2 years... nothing to complain about at all! Especially cause I can't have a fill.

It sucks not being able to have a fill, but not having a port is really nice even though it feels like I still have one.

OK I walked this morning for about 40 min at the park. Then I went shopping for clothes to wear on my Jamaica trip. GUESS WHAT??? I tried on size 14/16 W at Avenue and WHOO HOO!! They fit. I am so excited. Some of the pants I still wear a size 18W. That is because of my inherited LARGE hips. I gotta get working on the pilates for hips tapes. LOL!! Anyway, I got a couple of cute shirts and some really cute thong sandals one pair in yellow with flowers and one pair pink with flowers. Lisa you probably know what I am talking about. DARLING shoes!!

I then went into Target and looked for some clothes but they didn't really have anything I liked. Oh well!!

I have some stuff that I ordered last week that should be here any day. I am excited to get those clothes. A couple of tropical dresses and accessories to match. LOL!!

Breakfast: TOO FUNNY!! Didn't eat till 2p today. Water for Breakfast

Lunch: fruit and walnut salad from McDonald's and Water

Supper: NOT sure yet what we will have. I will have to update you guys on that agenda.

Good Deed: Helped a lady with her buggy at Target after it fell over and all her stuff fell out. Poor thing. She looked ready to cry. Then let someone else take a closer parking space at Avenue and I took one farther away so I could walk more. Yeah I know STOOOOOPID!!!!!!!!

Lisa: You are still doing good. And wasn't that just sweet of you to eat that ice cream up from Chris so he wouldn't be tempted. My sweetie does that too. LOL!!

Darcy: Paint the room psychedealic, put in a stobe light and black light as well. Get some beads for the doorway. Wear a headband while exercising. Put some bongs around just for show or to use whatever suits your fancy. LOL!! That will shock him.

breakfast 1 vegetarian sausage, 1 egg

lunch 1 chicken sandwich w/ lowfat mayo and only one side of the bun

dinner taco salad without a shell or chips with lowfat sour cream

5 hershey's minis

maybe a little roast in gravy depending on what time it gets done baking.

Water intake was good all weekend but poor today. I could eat anything all weekend but having a harder time today. Stubborn band... Went to the Portland Zoo on saturday and walked a ton so hopefully that will help. It started to pour a most drenching rain before we left so I got to walk soaked in about 10 lbs of wet clothes for a while. My good deed for the weekend was taking our roommate and child to zoo. We had a grand time. The roommate doesn't have a drivers license so he hasn't ever been able to really take her anywhere, so we have a good time traveling around with them. This was her FIRST trip to the zoo ever and we got some adorable pictures. Don't have a good deed today that I can think of. Since I weighed last thursday I think I am going to keep it on thursdays for a while. Best wishes all, Teresa

Debra, Did they give you a calorie intake estimate or mention how many you should be eating? I am curious and was wondering what a nutricianist would say. Best wishes, Teresa

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
